Since buying this my cat has diarrhea. Not sure if it's the food but I noticed something called chirocy root in the food now. I'll be avoiding this.
Kitties are enjoying the prime plus turkey and giblets. Formulated for cats 7 yrs or older. This smooth pate is easy for them to eat.
I really wanted this to help my cat shine, it did not. My cat's coat has become the worst I've ever seen it after 3 months on this food. She is losing hair and right, and it's just overall very dull. My second cat is on special food bc he is allergic to everything, however, he always eats the crumbs of his sister's food, which even though he has issues, with small amounts of any other food I have had her on, he has never had a full blown reaction to any of them from just eating some crumbs. But with this food if he even gets one nibble of it he develops an itchy rash on his whole body. There is something not right with this food, would not recommend.
This is the first time my 14 year old kitty has meowed for food. She has always had tummy problems, it has taken many years to find food that wouldn't upset her stomach. She recently developed asthma and takes meds, so at the recomendation of our vet, I decided to see if she would eat a more nutritious canned food to increase her weight and health. Without a sample, I knew this food might be an expensive risk. So far, so good! She loves this senior turkey pro plan. So much so, that she isn't eating her turkey kibble. And actually begs for this canned food!
The cats give it four stars. They seem to enjoy this flavor but they don't eat the last bite. Always a bit left. But then, that's true for most cat food. I give it four stars too because it looks and smells appetizing. But I do find a few small pieces of bone or something hard. That happens with other wet cat food, but it would be nicer if it didn't have that.
I switched to this flavor because my elder boy refused to eat the chicken flavor any longer & was throwing up daily. He tolerated it well at first, but developed diarrhea in 3 days, eating only the dry food -- same brand, kind, & flavor. It may have been the change to a different flavor. Today he launched into the wet food with good appetite, so he may have been under the weather. I'm keeping him on this for now. He's tolerating it better than the chicken flavor & needs food made for sensitive skin/stomach.
I can’t give a fair review. I liked this for a few days then stopped eating it all together.
My oldest cat who is 18 years old seed like he wasn't getting enough nutrition. He was on a prescription food because one of my other cats has a condition. So I switched my 18 year old kitty to this food and he loves it and is finally gaining a few ounces. He feels better has more energy and gives us more lovins'.
My little man Harry is pretty fussy and he seems to think Turkey & Giblets is a tasty treat.
Our cats ate this, but regularly vomited it up shortly afterwards.
