Made my cat sick & even my dogs wouldn’t eat it
Have not tried this particular Purina Pro Plan variety 2 pack before which was not cheap. I only give my dogs and cats Purina Pro wet food despite being more expensive then most can pet foods. Because it is supposed to be healthier for them. My previously VERY healthy 6 year old male cat who normally eats alot at each sitting ate it with great gusto but then about an hour later vomited wet chunks all up on my carpet over next 4 hours & then continued to vomit the liquid and then started to dry heave. He is now very sick/lethargic & dehydrated. Been up with him all night. Taking him to vet hospital today when they open at 8am. My other cat (& even my two small dogs who normally love to steal wet cat food) wouldn’t eat it at all. Something is obviously wrong with this batch. I am going to request to return to Chewy and a refund for both packs. My vet bill will surely be at least $200. Always is every time I set foot in the door. Very upset as I can’t afford it right now and he was perfectly fine until he ate this food. Perhaps it got tainted/overheated in fed ex truck. I don’t know but it seemed to be more ‘liquidfied’ than usual Purina pro wet can food which is normally a gel type liquid and not ‘runny’ like these can cat food was. Very disappointed. I hope he is okay. He will barely open his eyes or move. He is normally a lively & very social cat.
Great
My cats fur and coat is shinier with the oro plan diet as opposed to any ithers one has allergies abd it seems ti cut down on it.I use basic Purina foid fur budget which my vet says Purina Ian's hills ir science diet has been around the longest and fancy feast abd fissures wer fiid is Purina too but I buy pro plan cans and foid sometimes I mix foods. I am nit interested in trying Purina one I like just sticking with Purina products I have two makes abd no issues
Nice PP bundle.
I have purchased this bundle multiple times on Chewy, and my cats like it. I have fed the Seafood Stew can to my kitties for about 10 years, so that one is always a win. It's great to see that one in this bundle. As for the other 2 flavors, my cats don't care for the Salmon & Rice one on its own (they prefer PP's Salmon, Shrimp, & Rice flavor), and I do need a topper on that one for anyone to eat it. In my household, the topper that works best for the gravy-style PP cans, is a coarse-textured freeze-dried treat (e.g., Redford Naturals Freeze-Dried Chicken or Northwest Naturals Whitefish). My cats won't eat these gravy ones with a powdery topper (e.g., Fortiflora or Cat-Man-Doo chicken). Anyway, great.
Great food
My picky, picky, pampered girl only eats Pro Plan canned foods consistently. Other brands, she licks off the gravy and leaves the meat. With Pro Plan, she cleans her plate and sometimes wants more. It is expensive, but so is tossing food out that she has refused. Neighbor's outdoor cat isn't impressed though, she isn't getting tasty leftovers now.
I think we got a hit
After trying other food out there I do believe we have a winner. Of course it comes with yummy gravy and bite size chunks of food. I'm hoping this is a winner for my picky babies. Definitely worth a try
Great food
So i changed to this food and my cat Misha loves this food so much she doesnt even leave a bite ....i used to have to throw away half can of blue buffalo so it was very wasteful.
