Dog with Liver & Kidney Disease Likes This Food
Our dog, age 15, has both liver and kidney disease which can be quite a challenge. in that she cannot have high fat foods. She's also quite picky due to her illness. But, thankfully, meal prep has been helped greatly with Purina Pro Plan Weight Management (low fat) and her low fat dry kibble. She seems to really like this canned dog food.
Won’t Buy Again
Chewy already refunded my $ and I was going to donate this food to an animal shelter, but not sure I will now. Bought a case, and NINE of the 12 cans were seriously bent. Outside of box was fine, so they were apparently put in the case like that. I’ve ordered some new canned food, but in the meantime I used a couple of the non-bent cans to flavor the kibble. One can looked like it had nothing but dirty water in it. No rice I could see, some pieces of alleged turkey. This experience has shaken my confidence in Purina Pro Plan in general, and I thought my dogs were doing well on the kibble.
Good as a mixer with kibble
My dog needs to shed a few pounds and I have been giving her weight management kibble, but she doesn't seem satisfied. I saw this and decided to use it as a topper. I actually mix about 1-2 tablespoons with her kibble. She loves it and seems to be pretty happy with the addition. Glad that Chewy can send on autoship as the few places we can purchase around here are often out of stock.
Not a great product
Mostly goo! Wanted low calorie food, but the only reason it has less calories is because it has so much watery goo and so little solid food. Waste of money.
Standard Poodle Approved
My Standard Poodle is an extremely picky dog food eater. She was 5 lbs overweight due to the table food and scraps I had been feeding her. She now gets one can of this Purina Pro Plan Specialized Weight Management per day and also free-feeds Purina Pro Plan Adult Sensitive Skin & Stomach salmon flavor. These are the only two dog food she will consistently eat. She refuses pate (it sits until it petrifies). She usually eats a can of this at 5 pm then eats about a cup of the dry dog food sometime during the night. She also gets a few small treats throughout the day and a Munchy Bone after dinner.
He loves it !!
Absolutely loves one more than any food we tried . Maybe we will lose a little weight to boot !
Not Happy with this
This food has given my dog nothing but diarrhea. I won't be buying this again.

Quality Declined
We have used purina weight management can food for over a year now. It was out of stock recently for some time so we switched brands. Since it is back in stock we switched back and the quality is really poor. It used to have more meat and good ratio of gravy. Now they are 75% gravy.
