    Good for the money

    This is a great option if you want to feed your pets the best on a budget. I have a young German Shepherd (about to be 2 in Dec.) and I was paying $70 for a 30lb bag of Royal Canin. I would go through that in a month. Now that I buy this brand, I’m able to feed not only him, by my 13 year old Ausi the This is a great option if you want to feed your pets the best on a budget.     Dog won't eat it

    I ordered this food because my dog needs a higher calorie food to assist with weight gain. This food is 100 calories more per cup than the other food so that is why I chose it. I was feeding him another ProPlan variety (Purina Pro Plan Savor Adult Shredded Blend Chicken & Rice) that he really liked so I ordered this food because my dog needs a higher calorie food to assist with weight gain. This food is 100 calories more per cup than the other food so that is why I chose it. I was feeding him another ProPlan variety (Purina Pro Plan Savor Adult Shredded Blend Chicken & Rice) that he really liked so I assumed that he would also like this one, since it is also a chicken variety and from the same food plan. He ate it a few times, with resistance, but I added cheese to it to get him through it. Now he won't even go near the bowl -- it seems offensive to him for some reason. I had read the reviews before ordering it and saw quite a few others have experienced this issue. I wish I had not ordered the largest bag because now I have to discard it. If you are going to order this food, perhaps consider starting with a small bag to make sure it pleases your dog's palate. … more
