    Great Food

By MegC on Nov 7, 2017

We currently use this feed for our 12 coonhounds. They maintain weight well with smaller sized feedings than we had to previously use and the dogs love it. They have choosen this over more expensive food more times than once. We recommend it to anyone who asks us for a good food for their dogs. It works We currently use this feed for our 12 coonhounds. We recommend it to anyone who asks us for a good food for their dogs. It works extremely well for the difficult dogs that have a faster metabolism and to help put weight on. Plus the pro club point program is awesome!! … more

After a while my dog got use to the food . Took her a while to get use to the change. Then again my dog can be picky. My last order there was some damage to the bag. It was tore and some food came out. But I was able to save the food becuase it was inside the box. I have been using chewy for 2 years After a while my dog got use to the food . • Dogs ate it at first

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I have a 6 month old standard poodle, a 18 month old standard poodle and a 3 year old Min Pin. I thought this food would benefit all of them. At first they ate it really well. Then, about half way through the Large bag, 37 pounds I believe; they decided they no longer liked the food. I thought the food smelled, even stunk from the moment I opened it. It also made their poop smell horrid. Worse than normal. I like the Purina Brand and will stay with this brand but will switch to a different flavor.

  • Life span and liver disease?

    By on

My border collie/whippet mix LOVES this food. I tried a couple of sample bags from the feed store because I can't find any quality food she likes. Even though she loves it, how can I feed it to her based on the ingredients--corn gluten meal, wheat, whole grain corn, and worst of all menadione, which is associated with liver disease in dogs? I want her around a long time. Is it better for her to have a short life with food she loves or a long life with food she isn't as fond of? I love ice cream and potato chips and butter on everything, and though those foods make me happy, I can't live long eating them every single day.
