Using a standard 8 oz/250 ml measuring cup which contains approximately 108 g of Pro Plan. Puppies start to nibble solid foods at 3 - 4 weeks of age. Keep moistened Pro Plan available at all times. Allow your puppy to eat at will until fully weaned (6 - 8 weeks). After weaning, Pro Plan can be fed moistened or dry. For best results, develop a regular feeding schedule such as three small meals a day for younger puppies. You can gradually reduce to one feeding in the morning and one in the evening as your puppy ages. The routine should not vary. As puppies near adulthood, their calorie needs may drop, and your puppy may begin leaving some food in the bowl. Don't misinterpret this as an indication of dislike for the food. Instead, begin offering less so your puppy doesn't overeat and stays in ideal body condition. Nestle Purina Research indicates that avoiding overfeeding of puppies may help their development. Maintaining ideal body condition is key to encouraging proper growth in all puppies, especially large breeds. The indicated amounts are only a guideline. If your puppy becomes overweight, a reduction of your puppy's daily food intake may be appropriate. You may wish to consult your veterinarian about a weight control program. FEEDING FOR REPRODUCTION Pro Plan provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female's ideal body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation.
Please allow 7-10 days to ease the transition from your dog's current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you're feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets.
Was hoping it would help my skinny malinois puppy with gaining weight but he does not like it. He’s not necessarily a picky eater but does no like this food at all. Wasted my money sadly.
My 1 & 1/2 year old (Mac) always wants the 6yr. old's (Ribbon) PPP Weight Management food. So I thought feeding him half a bowl of this PPP Development with half a bowl of the PPP WM would balance out. The Development has all of the good stuff my still growing Mac needs. But now Mac has begun spitting out the pieces of the PPP Development.
We have an active puppy that was struggling to maintain weight so we thought we'd give this food a try. Unfortunately he would not touch it. It's a difficult product to find and very expensive. I wish big brands would go back to giving out samples
Both my Labs love the 30/20 Sport dog food. My 4 year old Lab has been on it since he was 8 weeks old. Puppy formula then the adult formula.
My puppy found it to be very tasty. But it caused him to have looser stools than I like. Added his original food back in and they firmed right back up. And yes I did transition to new food over a weeks time. Didn’t even get 1/2 new n 1/2 old. So now 2/3 old, to 1/3 ProPlan. It works for his tummy this way.
Everything was quick and easy and was exactly what I ordered!!
So at first my mom’s puppy seemed uninterested, but now she loves munching on this food. My mom really liked the this food was focused on puppies and liked how it seemed like it was helpful for a growing pup.
I have a 10 month old boxer and another one that is a year and 4 months old. Both of them don't seem to care much for this food for some reason. My dogs may just be picky. I think the kibbles are a good size for puppies. Also good as training treats. I like what this kibble is offering for growing pups but my pups just don't like it. So I gave it 4 stars because I think this is a good brand but my dogs may just be picky.
My dog lives this food and his bowel movements are less! Yay!
I feed my Doberman puppy this kibble & he absolutely loves it!
