GI upset is one of the most common reasons dogs are brought to a veterinarian, and can result from many factors including restricted eating, parasites, and infectious agents. Common symptoms are loss of appetite, vomiting, and diarrhea, impairing a dog’s ability to digest and absorb nutrients. Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets EN Gastroenteric Naturals Dry Dog Food contains high quality ingredients, is low in fiber, and has added vitamins and minerals to nutritionally manage GI upset in dogs.

My vet suggested this food to help stabilize my Golden retriever's stomach. He is now 2 but has had issues with loose stools for a while. His stools that would be semi formed. He's been on this food now for 6 mnths and has had excellent success on it. Its expensive but at this point I'm convinced its helps his tummy and environmental allergies. He has stopped itching and I haven't had to give him a cytopoint shot in a while. His poops are firm and easy to pick up. I give him a half packet of the Purina flora every other day and add toppers for flavor and also fish oil.
Got to have the basics, and I’m very pleased to have my fur-baby’s regular diet - and for me to have it delivered reliably and on schedule. Happy customer!
With the stomach issues my almost 11 year old pooch had for a long time with no real help from other food I've tried, my vet suggested ProPlan Veterinary Gastroenteric and within days she improved. This is our "go to" food now and forever.
My 12-year-old lab mix started having problems with frequent loose stools and soiling the carpet. He was diagnosed with probable colitis but did not fully respond to Flagyl and probiotics. Our vet recommended switching his diet to EN Gastroenteric, and his loose stools and carpet soiling issues were resolved within 24 hours. No accidents for the past two months. Even though EN Gastroenteric costs 3x the cost of his old dog food, it's worth it.
Lucy Likes it, but I will have to watch to see if she puts on weight, as she usually eats low fat.
Goose is about 2.5 years. Has been dealing with diagnosed IBD since he was six months old. I’ve tried multiple prescription diets and non prescription ones as well. Most of the time he likes the food then I have to convince him to eat it with wet food or some other aridities. This has been to first food he LIKES to eat dry! He needs to dry food to help with his tartar prevention and it saves me money on buying wet food. Here’s even a photo of ME EATING A SANDWICH in which he saw me eating and kept on chomping his dinner down. I can’t say enough good things about how he likes this food and his gas has gone down significantly. Poops are way better and I know his stomach feels betters. Love Purina !
I have dealt with off and on digestive issues with my Yorkie including pancreatitis. We had tried to feed a few other RX kibbles in the past w/ bad results and ended up just sticking to canned food solely. He's a bigger sized Yorkie though (not fat) at 18lbs and required 2 cans a day and it began costing me over $250/month. I decided I needed to try a kibble again for cost sake that wouldn't mess with his belly. He does really great on this formula and even eats it as treats! Highly recommend for those with digestive issues who maybe need something a bit more 'natural' like my guy didn't do well on the hydrolyzed foods etc... highly recommend!
So easy and convenient.
Our Vet had suggested this for our older dog that sometimes has tummy issues. He has used it for several years in the wet food. We adopted a dog that has serious tummy issues, and thought the dry food version would be good for her. It is NOT. Makes her sick even with all the meds she takes for her stomach!
My Kings Charles Cavalier has a B12 Vitamin Deviancy. Has stomach issues and this food works well for her!
