Cat actually likes the taste
My cat is on an early ckd preventative diet per vet. I tried him on the dry hills version of this and he wasn’t too into it. He will devour the wet food but he didn’t like the hill’s dry taste. The wet food is just too pricey to feed him on exclusively. Fortunately he LOVES this version. I will from now on be ordering the purina line of early ckd. If your cat is not eating the hill’s dry give this a try. Something about the taste or smell makes him eat it.
16 YO Eating it!
After trying every dry & wet Royal Canin & Hills flavor of renal food, spending over $250, my sweet Little Buddy finally likes something! Trying the canned now which the vet said is great. Cannot find it locally at all. Vet says buy wet food in gravy for this condition if Fancy Feast, etc., so I pray all babies get better eating this brand from an American institution.
Sam loves it!
My cat is a very fussy eater and I was nervous about finding an early stage kidney food for her. Purina was the first one I tried and she loves it! Thank you Purina.
My renal need cat didn't eat
My special needs renal cat didn't eat any of this. My piggy cat that eats everything ate it. The cat this was intended for didn't like it.
Not a fan of this dry food
Chloe said Ehh to this dry food. Trying to get her to eat it because it is a prescription and is expensive . Have to look for another brand .
My cats loves it.
I have 2 cats & one was recently diagnosed with early stages of kidney disease. I was worried he wouldn’t like this food as he is a very picky eater. To my surprise, he loves this food. So does my other cat that has no kidney problems. *Early detection is key. I wish I had known all the signs of kidney problems. We recently had to say goodbye to our big Orange cat (Cheeto) We didn’t find out about his kidney problems until he was in stage 4.
Not a big hit at first..
My cats didn't like it at first.. I left a bowl of it sit out for a few days and they slowly started to eat at it. Now they love it.
So far so good my kitties are eating this dry food hopefully it lasts as finicky as they are.
CHD Bentley Cat won't touch this food.
I am trying very hard to get Bentley to eat this food, but he just turns his nose up at it, even mixed with his loved Fans Feast Chicken & Turkey. I must find some renal diet that he will eat. Even my Lola cat, who eats most everything, won't touch it.
Food that Cat with Kidney Disease Will Eat
Finding a food my cat with kidney disease will actually consume is hard. She eats this food, though I can't say she loves it. Getting her to eat any approved food is a plus. Better than many alternatives.
