Helped severe epilepsy

This food has been a big help in controlling my dog's seizures in conjunction with medication. Background - before being on this food, he had clusters (6+) of seizures every 3ish weeks. He was on phenobarbital, zonisamide, and keppra and that was still the best we could do for his seizures. He tried potassium bromide but did not react well to it. His veterinary neurologist suggested this food as a last ditch attempt since all the medicine wasn't providing enough control over his clusters. Since being on this food (strictly only ever eating this kibble and cream cheese to give meds), his seizures have reduced dramatically, to one every 2ish months. He also has only had one cluster seizure episode. Would recommend giving this a try if medication alone has not been able to fully manage your dog's seizures.

dog won’t eat it

Along with much others after so long he just won’t eat it. He takes both keppra and phenobarbital and we put this food in thinking it maybe would help. Not sure if it does. I even mix a cup of his Victor dog food in with it and he still won’t eat it. After 2-3 months I’m taking him off of it. I think it’s very expensive for what it is regardless

Finally A Dry Food for My Dog

We have a 3 year old German Shepherd who has some neurological issues and has not been able to eat dry kibble since he was about 9 months old. We spend so much on special canned food, but this dry food changed all that. We are so thankful that our vet recommended and prescribed this food!

epileptic dog

My dog is a 5 year old Australian shepherd/cattle dog mix. He was diagnosed with epilepsy and has been taking seizure medication for approximately 2 years. Even with the medication he was still having seizures about once a month. The vet wanted to up his medication dosage, but I started to research dog food and wanted to give this a shot before increasing his dosage. The only thing I changed is his food, nothing about his dosage has been changed. He has now gone 6 months without a seizure! The food is worth every penny.

Delaney dog

Neurocare my 13 month old cocker spaniel just started on this for seizures. He is picky about it because it seems the pieces are harder for him to eat right now. I think he will get use to it hoping it will help him. I will review again.

ProPlan Veterinary Diet dog food

My dog is not liking it very much and doesn't eat her morning kibble at all. She will eat around the kibble in the evening when I mix some wet food with it, only finishing the kibble when she is really hungry.

Too big to chew

My 14 year old Pomeranian found it too big to chew, and he did not like it softened with anything I used. Even tried grinding it in the food processor but ended up with a soggy mess. It is just not made for older small dogs who may have had dental issues.
