Works great, *if* your cat will eat it
I have a cat that was diagnosed with CKD about 2 years ago. She did great for the first year, but then started having some nausea and reduced appetite issues. The vet says the dehydration that often accompanies kidney disease can exacerbate nausea and recommended more hydration.
We started subq fluids twice a week, and I was excited when I saw Hydracare. We started to give her Hydracare on the days that she didn’t get the subq fluids. Problem is she’s not thrilled with the taste. It took LOTS of coaxing to get her to finish one pouch and she needed a minimum of 2 pouches a day to have any benefit. It was a struggle to get her to drink one in the morning and one at night, between the flavor and how thick it is.
Our luck lasted about 6 weeks, at which point she refused to drink it anymore. But for those 6 weeks I noticed a big change in her hydration levels. Her fur was softer with less dry skin, her nose wasn’t dry, her eyes were brighter and her poops were not so hard and dry.
I just wish it came in a couple different flavors for cats who aren’t into the “liver” flavor. It definitely helps with hydration, but only if they will drink it.

See review!
I am giving this a 3/5 stars for a few reasons. My cat does like it, but only when it's by itself. If I mix it with any food he will not eat it at all. A con is that they want you to feed one pouch per 5lbs of cat, which would mean 3 pouches for my kitty, and there is no way he would eat so much of this soup. If I put one packet down (which is 3oz), he licks maybe half. So if you have a tiny cat, or one that isn't too finicky, maybe this would work.

Great for Hydration
I use this product for my IBD kitties that have severe constipation along with their routine meds. I also use it for my outside kitties because I live in south Florida and it’s brutally hot here and cats are not great water drinkers. TIP: shake it up in the package like violence before you pour it out because it does separated and it’s not very tasty separated. If your kitty doesn’t like it at first, sprinkle a little nutritional yeast on it and they love it. Plus it gives them their complete B vitamins. I use Bragg nutritional yeast from the grocery store. Do NOT use regular baking yeast. Out of my 9 cats, 8 drink it.
My cat loves this!
My cat absolutely loves this. She has thyroid issues and pancreatitis and needs help hydrating, so I was excited to find this product. I saw issues with the packaging mentioned in other reviews, but it doesn't bother me at all. The liquid is pretty thick, so I use a spoon to get the rest out, and my cat drinks it as soon as I put it in front of her. My boy kitty who has kidney issues also really likes it, and I will often put it on top of his prescription renal food and mix it in, and it is helping him to eat more of his food per day.
Elderly cat loves
My 20 year old cat recently had raised kidney levels at our last vet visit. We were told to try diet food or get him more liquid/wet food. He wouldn't touch the diet food, so we tried this Hydra boost stuff along side his favorite wet food and he has it every night without fail. Hoping this helps get his kidneys out of the danger zone, but he's happy, fed, and hydrated and that's what matters to us.

IMMEDIATE I LIKE THIS
What to expect: I will not speak for long-term results of Hydracare with regard to urine specific gravity. I just got it. I was interested in this product for extra hydration. I was unsure of how my kitty would take to it, among other things. She liked it immediately & immediately drank everything & bingo with the second pouch. I double-checked with my My Vet who responded with the following answer: "Hydracare is a great product to help supplement hydration, and I have recommended it for many patients in the past! Usually kitties like it. Only give the recommended amount." It must be flavored to perfection. It has some minor gum, some brownish look to please humans, I think, but usually kitties like it, as did mine. I will continue to purchase.

Picky Cat Did Not Like
I wanted Crumpet to like this so bad! My little boy stopped drinking as much water as he used to so I try to make sure he stays as hydrated as possible by giving him little soups as treats and adding water into his wet food. A vet recommended this for hydration so I ordered jr ASAP. I was so excited to give this a try but Crumpet have it a sniff and walked away. I mixed some into his wet food and he ate it so I set the rest of the HydraCare on a little dish overnight and he did not touch it. I’m not really shocked because Crumpet is so picky it could get really frustrating but I was just so so hopeful that it would work but unfortunately it was a miss for us.

My cat loves it!
This product was recommended by one of my cat's vets who, like me, has a cat that doesn't like to drink water. Well, my cat absolutely loved it! Even started begging for it! It's a little pricey, so I won't be ordering it all the time. It'll just be an occasional treat.
Diva Loves This
My diva cat was just diagnosed with a dirty bladder (crystals). I'm trying to keep her hydrated, so I tried this. She can be quite persnickety, so I was pleased when she consumed all the packets in the first order, and I had to reorder. Yay!
Helps with Dehydration
I have a kitty in early stage kidney disease and another with IBD or Intestinal Cancer. Both of them can stop eating and need sub-q fluids and other supports to get eating again. Hydra Care has become on of the supplements I use to help them get back on track.
