This is great (though not intended) for stimulating appetite
By MauriceDelTaco on Apr 4, 2021
We've (thankfully) not had to deal with loose stool issues since adopting our cat, but we did have quite a challenge moving her off of dry food. While FortiFlora is a probiotic supplement that is intended to be used under the direction of your vet to help with diarrhea, this product can also be used to help wean your cat off of dry food. Some cats, particularly those that have been hooked on dry food for quite a while may need some extra help when transitioning to or introducing wet food. One strategy is to crush up some kibble and sprinkle it on top of the wet food, and FortiFlora seemed to work for our kitty even better. Think of this being a nice little seasoning that can help the GI system manage the understandably difficult transition from a very dry, grainy diet to one closer to what cats evolved to eat. … more

No more daily throw up after starting this supplement!
By PersianKitty40 on Apr 12, 2021
I have a Persian that throws up his food daily because of a sensitive stomach. I tried this and no more throw up! I’ll still find hairballs coughed up but not the random half digested meals. I feed my cats dry food and one wet meal a day. I sprinkle this on the wet food and 1 of these packets last between my two cats for about a week. So a 30 pack is going to last much longer. I’d say 80 days unless you drown the food with the powder.

My elderly cat LOVES this!
By CatMom on Mar 19, 2021
If you've dealt with a picky eater cat before, you know that getting them to eat healthy food can be a challenge. My 16 year old cat was put on prescription food for kidney disease earlier in the year, and while wet food is the healthiest option, she has let me know that she doesn't care for it much. I switched her to the dry prescription food, but she began throwing up more frequently after making the switch. My vet recommended mixing in the FortiFlora to help with GI upset. She loves the flavor! Even better, when I mix this into her wet food, she eats all of it!

great help for litter box odor
By VSKL on Mar 21, 2021
Our vet suggested FortiFlora for one of our cats who struggled with gastrointestinal problems her whole life. It really helped with her extremely stinky stools, and seemed to reduce the occasional bleeding she had, as well. And it apparently is very tasty, so the cats are very happy to eat it. The only problem I've found is we have to keep the packets in a sturdy container, or the cats will steal and chew them!

Works Miracles
By DogMom on Apr 19, 2021
This stuff has worked both times I've had to get it for my cat. She wasn't eating any of her food for about 4 days, but was 100% healthy otherwise. The vet told me to put this on her food once a day and she has a full appetite again! She will lick the bowl clean!

FortiFlora solves Finicky Kitty problem
By ZeeWood on Mar 12, 2021
One of our cats was always begging for treats and not eating her regular food. We tried different flavors of wet food, different brands and nothing helped. Our vet suggested that we try adding FortiFlora to her food. The vet said this would add flavor, but more importantly, it would add nutrients that our cat was not getting from the treats. She is now much better about eating her regular food (though she still asks for treats from time to time)!

Good for the tummy
By Probiotic on Mar 28, 2021
I have an elderly cat that was place on antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection and it caused significant diarrhea. I am a big believer in probiotics for humans and I also figured it would be good for animals as well. It is evidently yummy because he eats his food with great interest. It seems to be helping .

Great for weaning cats off kibble
By Best on Apr 17, 2021
I bought this to ease my cat (who is a kibble junkie) into wet food. I put the product in a salt shaker and shake a bit on his wet food twice a day. He use to just lick up the gravy but now he is actually eating the meat. Great product!!

Concerned Customer

I ordered six cartons of this product. In the first carton there were some empty packets and several other packets were considerably less than adequately filled. I have not yet examined the other cartons. Numbers on the defective carton include: 0091406201 07:18L06 0111. I hope that is helpful to the manufacturer.

helped with chronic diarrhea
By Frenchy on Feb 26, 2021
My 11 year old cat recently developed a food allergy. After several months of trial and error foods we found a prescription one that worked. However, in the process he developed chronic diarrhea. This product combined with CoBalequin (B12) vitamin seems to have his stool nearly back to normal. The vitamin B likely helped the stool form (per vet his system stopped making) but the biotics hopefully helped with intestinal discomfort. Bonus he loves it mixed into his wet food.
