  • cats are trying it.

I have a diabetic cat, a former feral. He will not endure insulin shots, so I'm giving him the most time I can by diet change and holistic additives in his food. He wouldn't touch the Royal Canin, wet or dry. That is not a reflection of RC's prescription diet, just that my cat seems to prefer the purina. He eats the dry readily and licks at the wet food. He's a sweet old man, a favorite pet. I am counting on having him with me for many more months, and I hope this purina diet helps accomplish that. Anyway, it's worth a try!

  • The Love Is Gone

Started my cats on this 3-4 months ago because one cat is overweight. Have not seen much improvement in her weight. Then just when 24 shiny new cans showed up at our front door, both cats decided they didn't like this food anymore. They'll nibble at it but leave most of it to get dry and gross. Very frustrating, especially given how pricey this stuff is!!

  • My diabetic cat loves this food!

I ordered this food because my usual source was out of it. I ordered two cases and they arrived on time - a little early actually. The ordering was easy, and most importantly my cat loves, loves this food!

One month go my cat was diagnosed with diabetes, she was drinking excessive amounts of water and urinating alot, the vet ran some tests and verified the diabetes, she prescribed a series of steps leading up to insulin shots twice a day for who knows how long, the cost was going to be excessive, and to be honest i couldn't afford it, anyway at the end of the vet visit she gave me a can of the Purina Pro Plan veterinary Diets, started giving this to her the same night, believe it or not i saw changes overnight!!, honest, the water drinking was down , back to normal, urination was back to normal, or very close, its been a month now and everything seems normal. • Try something else

I got this cause the vet said that it's good for my diabetic cat, unfortunately it doesn't matter how good it may be for her if she wont eat it. I have tried only feeding once a day so she is really hungry and even that won't work. Work on this formula to make it more appealing to a cat that needs to eat. This is to important for the health of a cat and expensive of and item for cats not to eat it.

  • Pro Panel Dietetic food

    By on

I have a recently diagnosed diabetic kitty. Our vet suggested a dietetic wet food and gave us some sample cans. Kitty turned her nose up at all of them except the Pro Panel. She loves it! I'm hoping between the Pro Panel and insulin we can get her diabetes under control. I am very pleased at the efficiency of chewy.com. The ordering was easy and the food was delivered very fast. Thank you!

Our vet suggested this formula for our dog. He seems to love it and it’s good for him, but it’s really expensive.

Vet recommended and my Cali likes it(her sister tries to share it too) that is good enough for me at this point. Diagnosed with diabetes, pancreatis, liver /bile duct issues and vomiting/weight loss--- we had to work to keep her going . The feeding tube is gone & she is EATING again!!

  • Torn between two products

I vacillate between giving my diabetic cat the Savory Selects DM and the regular DM meal. I have to mix a small can of Fancy Feast with either to make it palatable for her but I end up grinding the savory selects or she just eats around it. So I've settled on the regular meal and after mixing Fancy Feast with it, she gets about three, sometimes four meals out of a single can and she seems happy with it. Her diabetes is managed and that makes me happy.

It's great food, my cat loves it. Wish the price was lower considering this will be his main diet for the rest of his life.
