My Aussie only gets one of these hearts (2 if really small) for bringing in my morning paper. I trained ArrowSmith to bring my paper (a freebie before I subscribed) by giving him a treat whenever he picked it up but the day he actually brought it into the house & dropped it, I gave him a couple of these chicken hearts (my 14.5 y/o’s favorite before she passed) that was it! Now every morning he waits to bring in the paper. I used to throw the same old paper out for him to retrieve but found I enjoyed reading a hard copy better than off the computer so now my little guy, rain or shine, has a job to do & Aussies have to have a job!! My neighbors love seeing how proud he is picking up the paper & My Aussie only gets one of these hearts (2 if really small) for bringing in my morning paper. Dogs & Cats love them!

Chicken hearts are a good source of taurine and phosphatidylserine. These are healthy and apparently very delicious. My dog will try to swallow giant pieces, so I chop it for him and for the outdoor ferals. The hearts are too tough to just breakup by hand. The very centers are a bit juicy so be prepared if you are cutting them up like I am.
