We have hardwood floors all throughout our house but its not the scratching of the floors that we have a problem with, its the sound of their nails on the floors that drives us insane from them running around. Will these help with the clicking sound?
Answer by • Apr 27, 2020
Purrdy Paws nail caps are made with a proprietary soft yet durable vinyl. This will definitely mute most sound, especially the ‘click click’ that you typically hear from dog’s nails making contact with hardwoods. They can provide additional traction for dogs if they slip on these floors. They can also help older dogs realign their gate and walk normally if they have had nail issues.
I have a senior dog with mobility issues - she drags her back feet and the tops of her nails on those feet often get worn down to the quick. Would these protect those nails and prevent the painful exposure of her quick?
Answer by • Oct 05, 2019
These nail caps will be helpful in protecting the nail and avoiding exposure to the quick. To ensure longevity, we recommend choosing the correct size. Keep in mind the nail caps will need to be replaced every 4-6 weeks.
One of my dogs has nails that split pretty frequently. Does anyone know if these would help prevent that?
Answer by • Jan 19, 2018
The Nail Caps would help hold the nail together so it won't split as frequently.
If my dog eats one of the mail caps, are they toxic?
Answer by • Jan 20, 2021
These are completely safe, painless and non-toxic. Neither the vinyl nail cap and the glue will cause any issues if ingested.
These fit the best and last the longest. My dog is indoors almost exclusively due to age and these hold up until they fall off on their own. Every once in awhile one will fall off before they are supposed to but I think that is just the way it is. Anyways these work well

Works good
Works great. I have used for years. Comments I read that are negative are mostly from people not applying them correctly. Take your time, Make sure they are the correct size, and periodically check them. That's it. Give them a try if you are on the fence, they are worth it.

Works for elderly dogs
I have an older dog that has trouble getting up off of our hardwood floors. This did the trick. It prevents him from slipping and gives a much needed grip. That is the only reason I tried them and it works for me.

works great
Took a couple before I got comfortable with applying them but was easy after. I have done both my dog and cat now but dog is much easier. Still both are really great.

My pups happy so I am happy
My 80 pounds Huskys Toe nail was
scratching the inside of his other toe When he gets the zoomies We had tried everything and then he would open the wound again. Finally we got these caps We only did the one toe and man how it has helped shield the sensitive spot

Do Not Buy If Your Dog Has Mobility Issues
This product was a total nightmare! My dog was having problems with traction on a wood floor in our house....I thought I would give these a try after my vet recommended to try them. I learned a GREAT lesson, if your dog has ANY mobility issue DO NOT USE THESE.....I want to save you grief....I glued these onto all my pup's nails and she totally couldn't stand on her own.....granted she had a problem with one foot but these just took our problems to entirely different level. Try taking them off! OMG!! I slowly started working with finger nail polish remover and manicure scissors to try and get them off....still working on it....horrible experience! Don't use these....just too stressful to my dog and myself.

Never again
I will never again use these. They dug into his skin around the nail and got it all infected. He was miserable and it took hours to get them off of him.

Really protective
My dog has spondylosis and drags his feet. His nails are worn short and his knuckles bleed. I was able to cut these to fit perfectly. They have actually improved his gait and protect his knuckles. He feels more comfortable walking. They last about a week before they fall off. Worth buying again.

DO NOT BUY
I got these for my dog. He had them on less than a week. I had to remove them as some of his toes goes infected from them. They were put on by a professional so they were put on correctly. This happened to multiple toes. I had to get them removed.

So far so good!
Well, they’ve only been on for a day, but we love them so far! They were easy to put on, and have stayed no problem. The main reason for purchase was Lola’s sharp nails scratching my grand daughters. Very happy with the purchase so far.
One note: I ordered XL. Lola is about 80 pounds. They were a bit big, so I just cut them down.
