We recommend only a 5 to 10% water change every other week. Removal of too much water at one time may stress your fish and result in disease or death.
When you remove the aerator you will find that you have either a male or female threaded faucet. Your unit came with our 69HD brass adapter. For faucets with female, inside threads, use as provided. For faucets with male, outside threads, remove the large white washer. Attach adapter to faucet and attach top of faucet pump to adapter. In the rare circumstance that it does not fit, you may need a MABA, or a FEBA for the newer faucets with smaller threads.
Make sure all fittings are tight and that your cold water is turned on full force. The pump must be in the "drain" position. The top of the pump must be completely secured onto the adapter. If you can move the top of the pump by holding onto the hose and pushing left or right, your venturi is loose and air is leaking into the vacuum. If this happens, hold onto your pump and turn the tubing counter clockwise just until tight.
Refilling your aquarium with the No Spill Clean and Fill effectively aerates the tap water, thereby removing a portion of the harmful chlorine. In order to ensure an ideal and safe aquatic environment for your aquarium inhabitants, we strongly recommend the addition of an effective water conditioner. This will remove any residual chlorine, chloramines, and heavy metals found in your municipal water supply that may adversely affect the health of your aquarium. For easy application, simply add the chemical of your choice to the return stream during the refill process.
When it's time to replace the gravel tube, use the [Python No Spill Clean and Fill Aquarium Gravel Tube] (https://www.chewy.com/dp/133629).

I have had the same 50ft Python for over 15 years. My Dad and Brother too. This is as essential to water additives and the proper food for your school. This makes waters changes so incredibly quick, and easy and cleans the gravel better than all others. I have a 65 gal, 2-45 gal, and a 20 gal aquariums and I can literally get all of the gravel cleaned and water changes in all aquariums the same day. You can't do any better than the Python. I definitely encourage all aquarist to add this to their Must Haves.
Ok over 30 years fishkeeping and old school weekly water changes with buckets. I've avoided this thing forever figuring at least I was getting some exercise lol. This thing is great but a couple things to keep in mind. Don't overestimate the length you will need as you'll just waste money, extra suction and set up and tear down time. In regards to suction I connect to bathroom faucet to get started then remove and place in bathtub to drain with a yogurt making bag to catch any sand. The latter increase suction because tub is lower and reduces water waste. Speaking of faucets; it fits both my kitchen and bathroom faucets out of box. If you have foo foo non standard fancy faucets, you will need to purchase additional adapters.
I used the Python to fill my new 60 gallon aquarium. It was so easy and way faster than how I filled even smaller tanks in the past. I did have to find an adapter at Ace Hardware, but otherwise it worked great. I haven’t used it to clean the tank yet, but I’m sure it will make that super easy too. Definitely worth it if you have a larger aquarium. It also arrived earlier than expected.
This siphon is quality! Back saving. Time saving. My dog ate my original. So happy to have it back in my life!
This works the way it’s supposed to. I don’t love the fact that you have to keep the water running to drain the tank but the fill function is great. The attachment piece that goes on the sink seems like it won’t last long but we will see. I don’t like the fact we have to take off the aerator every time we use it. Not a negative on the product but just a note because we made a bad choice, we should not have gotten the 100 foot tubing. We got it because it was on sale and only $10 more than the 50 foot but it is just way too long.
I cannot express enough how great this tool is. I have an aquatic turtle and was lugging 10 gallon buckets back and forth weekly to clean the water in his tank. This tool not only helped eliminate that process but helped to make my tank clearer than had I dumped the water out myself. I wish I would of discovered this sooner!
I have lived in 2 houses since buying this and have spent nearly $83 buying adapters over and over but none fit. I am too old and sick to carry buckets. It would have been great to be able to use this to continue with the hobby but instead, after huge waste of money I have to get rid of the fish because I can't change the water. Please don't suggest the python adapter. I have it. I have 14 adapters and an all purpose kit of 22. How are you all making this fit to the bathroom faucets?????
I got this for my red eared slider's tank, and I couldn't be happier. It's easy to use, does a great job, I don't have to lift buckets and make a mess anymore. Highly recommend
Finally there is an easy way to clean the tank. I’ve had a number of pumps and filters to clean fish and turtle tanks and hated them all. This was so freaking simple. Connect to your sink then you can drain and fill your tank. Highly recommended
this python did not suck very well and it was very difficult to attach to the faucet
