Does this kill tapeworms in cats? If so is it safe to give them?

Just be wise

I only use Quest once my horses reach 3 years of age or more , On iffy horses I use the Powerpac wormer once a year until they reach a safe age ,Along with either of these wormers i also do a monthly or Bi-Monthly rotation of Ivermectin
