I switched to Rachel Ray Big Life in an effort to increase the quality of the kibble I'm feeding my GSDs. They seem to really like it (actually, I should say love it!) and will gobble the kibble enthusiastically. HOWEVER, despite feeding them the quantity per package instructions, they have gained weight. And not just a little as one of my female GSDs has gained 15 lbs since switching to Big Life. I've tried to reduce feeding quantity and increase their activity, but to no avail. Now I am in search of a new kibble to get their weight under control.
I actually really like this dog food. We are almost through our first 28 lbs bag - feeding it to a 37 lbs Cocker Spaniel mix and a 57 lbs Pit mix. The dogs love the different texture and shapes in the food - it is like a better version of Purina One. I will say, I don't see any of the 'meaty chicken bits' but have seen lots of the other nutri-pieces easily. The only thing is lately the dogs have been throwing up more in the past two weeks - 3x with our Cocker and 1x with our Pit. They both can have sensitive tummies and nerves but I am probably going to switch them back to a different food. Which is a bummer because I really like this food. The pre-mixed kibble shapes save me the hassle of mixing two kibbles at home. I still recommend it even if it upset my dogs tummies (they're just high maintenance!).
I’ve gone through dog food after dog food. I even resorted to making homemade and my picky eater seems to love this one. It’s been our go to ever since. I do mix some Rachel Ray’s wet food in her bowl once a day as well.
I have a Tibetan Mastiff spayed female. Very very finicky about her dry dog food. Tried everything, and it would sit in her dish untouched. Rachel Ray's Big Life has been a success!! She loves it!! 💓
My Rottweiler loves this food. she loves all food technically but this she adores . Problem is it came very dust like this time.
I love how every time I order dog food it comes so quick! Only thing was some of the dog food is crushed up. So when I get a scoop it’s bits and crumbs! My dog loves the food though! Will be buying again!!
Switched to Big Life after my dog seemed to have allergies to purina one chicken. My dog absolutely loves this food but I noticed her teeth have build up from it. she has had diarrhea since she has been on this food, it took over a month to slowly switch her to this food now I have to switch again. Not even sure what I should switch to since I thought I did my homework on this and didn't turn out so well.
My Lab seems to love only Rachel Rays food for some reason but he approves.
My dog food is hard to find in big bags. But Chewy had it. Now I can rest assured knowing my big fur babies will Always have food. Thank You Chewy!!
My dog Blu loves the food!!!! I like the fact of the real pieces of meat and it has the stuff to help with hip and joint health as Blu lives up to the large dog breed. I also like the fact when you buy Rachael Ray a donation goes to a dog in need.
