    Good Treat for Senior Cat

    By on

If I didn't have a picky kitty that is dealing with intestinal lymphoma, I probably would not purchase these again. This is expensive for a treat, but it helps me get something into my senior cat when, at times, he does not feel like eating. It is easy for him to lick the broth, but he leaves all of the meat chunks and carrots ( why does it even have carrots??) behind. I wanted to point out that this is not intended as complete nutrition for your cat, but as a treat or food topper to accompany a meal. Sometimes, especially when shopping on line, it is easy to miss that information. These tuna "soups" come in a pouch as pictured. Sometimes, especially when shopping on line, it is easy to miss that information. These tuna "soups" come in a pouch as pictured. I have read many reviewers who are having a messy time removing the contents. The easiest way is to shake up the pouch before opening to distribute the solids that have settled into the bottom of the pouch, use scissors to quickly and cleanly remove the top of the pouch, gently squeeze the sides of the pouch near the top to open the pouch mouth wide, then dump the contents all at once into the dish. If you don't shake the pouch before you open, or you try to pour slowly; you will end up chasing the solid tuna bits at the bottom of the pouch with a fork. I have two picky cats, the older one is 15 and is dealing with intestinal lymphoma. He does not always feel like eating, and these little soups help me get something into him. Both of my cats like the broth, but do not eat the tuna bits. They both get excited about this soup and the salmon one. They will not eat even the broth on the other varieties that are "cream" based. The "cream" is actually a coconut base. I don't understand why they insist on putting carrots in cat food. It must be because the PEOPLE find it visually appealing, because it does little or nothing (nutritionally or otherwise) for the cat. My fur-kids pick around the carrots, and the meat chunks. … more

    Purrfect Broths Review

    By on

My cats LOVE THE BROTH but they don’t eat the meat. It would be so awesome if there was a package of just the juice. I have 5 cats, and they all have the same idea of ONLY LOVING THE BROTH.

    My cats love Nutrish

    By on

As most people know, cats are finicky eaters. I hate buying cat food and throwing it away because the cats won't eat it. My 2 cats love Nutrish and I like it for them because it is pure tuna in a clear broth. Very healthy for them.

    Great to keep on hand!

    By on Top 50 Contributor

Sick cat?? Eternally hungry cat?? Try this broth! Works great with mine, who love tuna juice! Sometimes this is just enough to take the edge off! Not a whole lot of tuna and I’ve mixed more water into broth for one of my babies who was sick and could not eat solid food for a while. I like to just have it on hand!

    Looks Good to me

    By on

Unfortunately, my cat didn't think so. I put it on a plate for her, she sniffed it and walked away and the food dried up without her returning to try. I gave this to a friend and his cat lapped it up immediately, so I gave him the remainder of my product. I have learned with cats, you never know if they'll like it when you give them a new food to try. Finicky little boogers.
