I have had it for about 2 ish months and there are holes large enough to stick my fist through. For the price, I was expecting more.
I ordered this fly mask in anticipation of the arrival of a new horse. Since it has rained everyday since her arrival, she hasn't worn it yet. The mask seems very sturdy, but so stiff that the mare may find it uncomfortable and rub it off. When the sun shines and the may flies emerge I will be able to give a better, more accurate review. The weight of the fabric explains why it is so expensive.
Well made with sturdy mesh and 2 Velcro closures: throatlatch does not have any elastic while the lower jaw does. Had to order the pony size to fit my Arabian gelding: the cob size swallowed him and would fit a Warmblood. The mesh ears are roomy and appear comfortable: my boy hasn't tried to rub it off. Has a halo-like forehead piece that keeps the mesh out of contact with his eyes: it's a bit of a challenge to put a halter on over the mask when bringing him in from the field, but it is doable. All in all, appears to be a good value, like most Horseware Ireland products.
Great product and great service. Received the next day
