Reconcile Chewable Tablets are indicated for the treatment of canine separation anxiety in conjunction with a behavior modification plan.
Reconcile chewable tablets are contraindicated for use in dogs with epilepsy or a history of seizures. Reconcile chewable tablets should not be given concomitantly with drugs that lower the seizure threshold (e.g., phenothiazines such as acepromazine or chlorpromazine.
Talk to your veterinarian about any other drugs your dog is taking before starting this medication.
Reconcile chewable tablets are not recommended for the treatment of agression. Reconcile chewable tablets have not been clinically tested for the treatment of other behavioral disorders. Studies to determine the effects of Reconcile chewable tablets in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs and in patients in less than 6 months of age have not been conducted.

Instructions
The recommended dose of Reconcile chewable tablets is 1-2 mg/kg (0.5-0.9 mg/lb) administered once daily, in conjunction with a behavior modification plan. A typical behavior modification plan consits of the pet owner implementing standard training techniques based on principles such as rewarding appropriate behavior; coming and going in a manner that does not elicit inappropriate responses from the dog; teaching the dog to be content while alone.
Store at room temperature: 68-77 degrees fahrenheit, excursions permitted between 59-86 degrees fahrenheit. Do not remove desiccant from bottle. Close completely between uses.

Worried at first but now it’s great
We got this because my dog has some separation anxiety issues, pees in the home when we are gone and is overall very anxious about life. We have a fear free vet (highly recommended for dogs with anxiety and fear) and they prescribed this. At first, my dog stopped eating - was a little withdrawn from me and I got nervous. But I kept giving it to him per my vet’s instructions. After 2.5 weeks my dog was back to eating normally and has now been able to stay home alone without being in the kennel because he does not pee in the home anymore!!! He seems to have come out of his shell more - keep in kind we also are working with our vet and I am in school for dog training so we are also pairing this medicine with behavioral training methods. I use pill pockets to give it to my dog and he looks forward to it every morning.
Helping with separation anxiety training
After a move, my dog developed separation anxiety. I started him on a training program, and the trainer recommended talking to his vet about medication. He has been taking this for about 6 weeks and is making good progress in his separation anxiety training. It's hard to say how much of that is due to the medicine, but the vet said it takes about a month to kick in, and I noticed a big improvement in his progress 3 weeks after he started taking this, so I think the medicine has made a difference. I don't think it's intended to work without a training program, though, so you'll need to find a training program, too.
Amazing Customer Service
I had ordered a medication for my dog & the decision was made to unfortunately put him down after ordering the medication. Different from our Vet's
I originally was getting 16 mg Reconcile pills from my vet for my dog. I decided to try getting the pills from Chewy. The pills look valid. However, these did not work with our dog. My dog instantly reverted back towards being extremely anxious when I gave Chewy's 16mg Reconcile pills. I switched back to my Vet's pills... my dog now is back to being more confident and chill on my Vet's pills. Don't know what the difference is, but these did not work like my vet's pills.

Best thing to happen to my girl
My girl, Gracie, has some difficult days and thankfully we have Reconcile. I was getting it through my vet, but they were always out when her refill time came around. Chewy has helped immensely, with the knowing I'll have my girls meds and on time!
I thought this was supposed to help
I read hundreds of reviews before giving reconcile to my 9 year old lab. His sister passed away this year causing severe depression and sep anxiety. 3 weeks on reconcile and he is now aggressive; rarely eats; never wants to walk and all he wants to do is sleep. Flips out over any noise. I cannot stand him on this medicine.
Bladder control
I've been giving my dog this for a few days now. She has been sleeping a little more, however it seems like she has trouble controlling her bladder. I've had to wash my bedding quite a bit because of it. I was giving her half of the pill and will try only giving her a quarter and see how that goes. I also notice it seems her appetite has diminished. We'll see how she does in a couple weeks.
Changed my dog's life
This medication has completely changed my dog's life and as a result, changed mine. Context: Kai used to pace all day and night, drool all over the place, and never settled. He was anxious ALL the time and we dealt with this for his whole time with us as a puppy (2 weeks until 1 yr. and a half) until he was able to get prescribed this medication. After a month of starting this medication, it's almost as if I've gotten a new dog. He can settle for the first time in his life. He is much calmer and happier. He has become a "normal" dog. This has changed my life and made me much calmer. He is just overall 1000x better to be around. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has a dog with similar problems. Thank you for this amazing product.
