The Red Dingo Nylon Reflective Breakaway Cat Collar with Bell are heavy duty collars with a painted bell. These collars are easy to adjust and the Reflective strips are very vivid at night. The Bell is painted and peels off, which is not good for cats. Worse yet if the paint is getting into their food. Since kittens have started going outside I've purchased several (changing out bell) of these collars along with ID tags. They have come home a few times with no collar. I highly recommend the Red Dingo Nylon Reflective Breakaway Cat Collar with bell. Stock up on these great collars if your cat(s) go outside.
People always say the collor design is cute with the fishes and the green color. I love that it has a bell and reflection and breakaway clip.
Great collar! The bell could be improved on however---it is barely audible.
My Winston likes to sneak out of the house and look for grass to eat. One night, I discovered he had sneaked out unbeknownst to us and I was frantic when I realized this. My husband and I were outside, calling his name and looking EVERY WHERE for him with Flashlights. BTW, we live on 2 acres of land. I finally found him under the front porch deck and the ONLY reason I saw him was because of the REFLECTORS on his collar!!!!! I then decided I wanted to get him one in a different color with larger reflectors on it. The Green one has reflectors in the shape of fish. Because he's a ginger colored tabby I thought the Green one would look better on him rather than the yellow one, which I had originally gotten for my Mother's kitty Amazing Grace. AG/Gracie, an all black kitty actually looks better with the Orange one on. And, her's has the Fish reflectors on it, too. NOW, I know my kitties are not only handsome but, we will be able to locate them pretty quickly because of these Great collars.
Love this collar, you can see my cat in the dark from a long way.
Cat had it on for maybe two days before it just fell off and now its missing
We have a lot of strays and ferals in our neighborhood, but there are two that we have domesticated. We've gotten them fixed and vaccinated so we wanted to get them collars to show they're being taken care of since they still mostly live outside. The bell is pretty loud and the fastener is a breakaway design in case it gets caught on something which is great. One cat likes to dart across the street so the reflector print at least helps a bit if a car is coming. Overall it's a great buy.
We like having the bell as our cats hides about the house. But our little female is so good at loosing these. Her brother has kept his current one since December. Yet we do appreciate that these collars have a self-release. I would rather she loose it that get caught and not be able to break away. Funny thing is we have only once founded one lying about the house.
I ordered 4 of these collars. I really love how reflective they are. I love that they come in a variety of colors for multi-cat households. Unfortunately, 2 out of 4 of these collars would not stay on. I kept finding them in the cat's beds where they were sleeping, so it's not like they were out climbing trees and the collar got snagged. They were just falling off because the clasp wasn't secure. The other two collars have stayed on without ever falling off. So, it seems like there is some inconsistency with these collars. You may or may not get a good one.
These are great for our hunter cats. The reflective collar makes us feel better about letting them out at night to catch rodents and away from cars. The bell with an added tag during the day, so far, keeps them from catching birds.
