Ok, so...apparently this stuff smells really good even through the package. I got the smallest one, so it's about a meal's worth for a dog. I took it out of the box and put it on the counter. JOEY, my black lab mix, obviously smelled it, then stood up on his hind legs so he could SEE it, and somehow, some way, GOT IT...and ate the whole thing, wrapper, metal brads on the ends, and all. I arrived in the kitchen shortly after and had no proof that he ate it, other than the lack of its existence on the kitchen counter, and Joey looking at me, licking his chops. So I told my wife and together we panicked. The wrapper wasn't a huge concern since this thing was small, but the metal brads on either end, uh oh. Long story short, constant monitoring for 24 hours...he seemed fine the whole time and approximately 22 hours (and 3 poops later) there it was. I had to put on some disposable gloves to fully search through "it", but I found the whole wrapper and both metal brads...it all passed. Whew. So yah, if you get this...BE CAREFUL and don't leave it anywhere your doggie might be able to reach it. I've lived and learned. … more

Helps get my dog to take her monthly chewable
By Jsjr on Feb 16, 2021 Top 1000 Contributor
My pit bull hates pills, even expensive chewables, so it's hard getting her to take her heartworm meds. I found if I cut up the chewable and mix it with this food she will eat it. They look similar and I think she just doesn't notice. So this is her monthly treat. I just cut the tube into portions and freeze the rest. It thaws well.

I finally found a good dog food (buff pate) my 80 pound 12 month young Doberman doesn’t trow up from front or rear and suddenly when I want to place another month worth of product, I found out they are out of stock for the next 3 weeks, I only hope red barn will not change the recipe, I need to find out what to feed my dog with meanwhile.....

Every dog in the land comes when they smell this great roll. Terrific training tool for all dogs but especially stubborn ones not usually food driven. (My beautiful stubborn Shiba Inu).

Great for Treats
By Katie on Feb 4, 2021
My dogs love these. I slice and dice these rolls into little cubes and use them as training treats. Works great and is way cheaper and healthier than buying training treats and the dogs go nuts for it. Love that is comes in different flavors to give them variety.

Great as a training treat

I cut it into little pieces and keep them in zip-lock baggies in the freezer until needed. It's economical and my dog loves them.

My picky rescue dogs attacked this beef recipe (cut into small chunks and placed atop their dry food) like it was the last meal they will ever eat. And they are still loving it. A wonderful purchase. Thank you.
