    One of my dogs is having a problem itching. The vet thought it might be from the food I'm feeding which is mostly chicken because that's what they prefer. Because of the stuff they jam into chicken, I guess it can cause problems in some dogs. I put Petie on this and his itching has stopped and I haven't One of my dogs is having a problem itching. I put Petie on this and his itching has stopped and I haven't had to put him back on the Prednisone. He loves it and it's so easy to use. I will continue to order this. I've also changed from chicken to lamb for the rest of the dogs even though they prefer the chicken. Chewy rocks because they have all the great flavors! … more

    Texture has changed!

    I have bought this as one of my dogs' foods since the 80's. First found it at a dog show. In the past year, the texture of the rolls has changed, and you can no longer slice it into firm pieces--it just crumbles into piles. First, the Chicken rolls got this way, and my 10 year old Silken Windhound I have bought this as one of my dogs' foods since the 80's. First found it at a dog show. In the past year, the texture of the rolls has changed, and you can no longer slice it into firm pieces--it just crumbles into piles. First, the Chicken rolls got this way, and my 10 year old Silken Windhound would no longer eat it--she wants chunks, not a mealy mess. So we went to the Beef flavor, and within a few months, that started being mealy, too. Apparently, texture IS important to some dogs. I truly wish that Red Barn would go back to their former formulation for this food, as the new rolls are just a mess to deal with, and the dogs don't like it nearly as well as they used to. … more
