Feed 1/2 can per day for each 10 lbs of body weight for an Adult cat. Adjust feeding amount for your cat’s body condition, lactation, growth & gestation. Refrigerate unused portion for up to a week.

Our Redbarn Canned Cat Foods contain approximately 1.9% ash (on a wet basis).Ash, as listed on pet food labels, is pretty much what it sounds like: the inorganic material that remains after organic material is burned up. Don’t be alarmed, it is a measurement of non-organic mineral content, including calcium, phosphorus, zinc, iron and other essential minerals.The FDA mandated a food composition test in which producers determine how much fat, carbohydrate and protein are in certain foods by burning each organic element out of it at different temperatures. All that is left after a test like this is ash.While it seems strange, ash is essentially a measurement of minerals that have to be in foods, to some extent, since your pet needs calcium, phosphorus, sodium and several trace minerals. In general, dry pet food is always going to have ash content (look for something under 8%) while wet food will occasionally have it too, in smaller amounts (typically 2% or less).

I tried this food be because of the nutrition label. It has a funny odor when you open it. One cat gobbled it down the other walked away. I’ll try it again because after all they are cats.

Every once in awhile I scour online for good grain free cat food that is fair priced without all the added stuff that does not need to be there. This one fit the bill so I gave it a shot and both cats gobble it up in under 5 minutes.

Cost Efficient, Good Ingredients

I have two senior cats (10 and 17) and buying the large cans is much more cost efficient. I used to feed them Merrick brand which they also liked but my wallet did not! Both of them eat this food. I transitioned them from their old food like the transition guide says and they took to it no problem. If you find your cat isn't digging this food right away try adding some of their old food again to entice them to eat it. If your cat suddenly stops eating it try adding a topper to it - they get bored of eating the same thing over and over again too! Also, just thought i'd add: I have this order on Autoship and when the large cans became out of stock the wonderful customer service helped me change I have two senior cats (10 and 17) and buying the large cans is much more cost efficient. Three cats don't recommend

Three cats and not one of them would eat it. I mixed a little with the canned food they do like and they wouldn't touch it. I wasted 1/2 the case trying. Every bowl was barely touched. I wasted most of each can down the drain. At least Chewy offered a refund and directed the remaining be donated to our local shelter. Thank you Chewy.

I bought this because it’s a good price for a healthy food. I rotate food quite a bit and the first couple of times they ate it, but now they won’t touch it. I’m disappointed they aren’t fans.
