Treat Responsibly: Redbarn recommends a size slightly larger than your pets mouth. Natural bones may splinter or break causing injury to their stomach or teeth, so you should always supervise use. If the bone should splinter, break, or if your pet is trying to break the bone, remove it immediately. Throw away any pieces that could be swallowed by your pet as pieces can cause choking, gastric upset, or blockage.

  • Dog loves these!

    By on

I have a 40ish lb bully breed mix who is a very heavy chewer. She loves these knee caps. They entertain her for 45 minutes-an hour (which is a huge feat as hard as she chews and as easily distractable as she is). As cheap as these are, they are definitely worth the money! I keep them in her regular rotation of treats and goodies. Just remember, it is important to take them away once they get small enough to be easily swallowed.

  • Very satisfying chew

    By on

My two Maltese just love these knee caps! The bones are covered with solidified fat and sinew and they last for days. The only negative is when first opened - each bone is individually wrapped in plastic - they do shed small bits of meat which can make a mess.

  • Small and not long lasting

    By on

These were smaller than I expected and did not last a long time. Might work for a little dog but not for a German Shepherd Dog. Once chewed down a little, it's just about the right size to slip down the throat, so keep that in mind when purchasing.

  • My go-to treat for long absences

    By on

These are special treats for my dogs when they need to spend a lot of the day in their pen. Then they chew on them for days after! They are just the right size for 4 or 5 hours of confinement. Definitely recommend.

  • My puppy likes them

    By on

I have a shih tzu puppy and she really likes knee caps. These have a bad initial smell out of the pack but she seemed to like it. The smell dissipates once its been out of the bag a bit.

  • Will not be using

    By on

The description on line said the kneecaps were sourced in the United States. When I received them the label said sourced in the US or Ireland. I will not be using them.

She Loves these Red Barn knee caps. Chews like crazy and wouldn't stop if I didn't take it away after 30 min.And with that they last 3-5 days of chewing. Awesome!

  • These Are My Dogs Favorite....

    By on

They love these and chew on them for a long time. They're messy to start out, so either send them outside or in their kennels when you first open them.

  • Great treat. Appears to help with tartar and lasts longer than bully sticks.

    By on

I was skeptical about any bones for my dogs. Worried about splinters and then swallowing large pieces creating intestinal issues. I supervise as the kneecap gets smaller and then threw it away once they are small enough to swallow. Both dogs love them and they help with dental tartar buildup. I believe if these are well supervised, they make a wonderful treat.
