    Great Product

By Kitt on Jun 3, 2021

It seems like Redbarn is phasing out this canned food. It’s unfortunate as the ingredients are fantastic and my dog loves it.

    My dogs love this

    By on

My dogs love this food. It's only 9.5% protein, but I figured it was a good way to get fish into them, even though I also feed tuna and sardines, both in oil. When it's refrigerated, it's hard to get out of the can, but other than that, decent food. Says it's made in the USA, but still wonder where all the ingredients come from. Meanwhile, I have decided to forego all canned dog food and feed only Honest Kitchen, supplemented by ground beef, chicken, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, cottage cheese, etc., only clean food, human-grade.

Good addition to restricted diet rotation

    By on

My Shi mix is allergic to poultry and grains, and we use this as part of his diet. He's not wild about it but he eats it with no fuss. The minerals are chelated (see the "proteinate" suffix) to allow for better absorption by a dog's intestinal tract. The only reason I'm not giving it a five-star rating is I wish it were not quite so "crumbly", but more of a real paté consistency. Even so...I'll buy it again.

The food is stinky and too thick. It was difficult to mix with dry food
