Good looking addition to our home. And one of our two cats uses it as a scratching post. The other one just likes to sit atop it looking pretty.

This just teaches your cat that it’s ok to scratch anything rattan or wicker in the house. Sux

I was so excited to use this! My cat will ONLY scratch at wicker and rattan. I have to keep finding baskets large enough for him to scratch on. sadly, he doesnt have an interest in this. the material is a lot harder and "plastic" feeling then normal rattan/wicker

Our kitty destroyed our hamper made out of the same material as this scratcher. She doesn’t like any of the scratchers you find at the stores, so I am glad we found this one made out of the same material as our hamper. She loves this scratcher! It is high quality and big. Easy to assemble and does not fall or tilt when she scratches on it. Sturdy bottom that keeps it in place. She also jumps on the top and sits on it

It seems like a well-made scratching post. However if your cat craves the upholstery of your favorite chair, this material may not be the solution to your problem.

I Returned this item. Although it is very good looking and it looks great in the house. It is made of material that cats typically don't scratch. I have four cats I put it where my old scratching post was and sprayed it with catnip like I always do, they wouldn't touch it. Other people have said the same I should've listen to the reviews so please listen to this one.

I should’ve taken the advice of other people who have reviewed this. It’s a very stylish looking cat scratcher that cats don’t particularly want to scratch! As suggested, I put catnip on it but my cats just licked it off and didn’t even try to scratch it. It’s not like a typical scratcher where it’s burlap or something that they can really dig their claws into. It’s more like a wicker product even more plastic. While the design is good, the material used is not an effective cat scratch material. It just isn’t.

I was super excited to get this product as I have been looking for a new post for my kitties. It came early which was nice, but it is MISSING ALL THE SCREWS. I was shocked since it was so expensive. There is no way for me to attach the post to the base so now I have to go out and spend more money on screws.

It looks good, but none of my 3 cats will touch it. I tried to show them it was a scratcher and only 1 cat poked at it and then ran to a different scratcher. A lot of reviews say the same. Cats just don't like the material. They go out of their way to scratch a post in another room now. I replaced a scratcher with this one and it hasn't worked out. I'll be getting rid of it as soon as I find another scratching post.

While this scratching post is beautiful, none of my 3 cats will use it. I also had to add weight to the base because if they had used it they would have pulled it over. They are enthusiastic scratchers and have pulled over a small cat tree that has a wider base and is heavier than this post.
