Got this gate to keep my frenchie and lab puppy separate and it's working wonders for us! Especially for the price, it's a super simple gate and there's a youtube video on how to assemble it since the paper instructions were pretty complicated, makes it very easy to build once you understand how it works. Would highly recommend!
Not a good gate
The doorway that I have this gate installed in is small enough so that I don't need the extensions. And if I added even the small extension, it would be too large for the opening. So I have this installed and the gaps are way too big on each side which makes the gate pointless if you have a small dog. $50 down the drain. If you have a small dog, I wouldn't buy this gate.
This gate broke and Chewy will not replace.....
We bought this gate for our front door over a year ago. It has been taken off approximately twice (to move larger items into the house). The other day the spring for one of the ends that holds the gate to the door jamb just broke. It wasn't being moved or touched. Chewy said they will not warranty because it has been over a year. DO NOT BUY THIS POORLY MANUFACTURED GATE.
A Great fit
Fast shipping. Product was easy to assemble and easy to install. It was a perfect fit where I needed it. Sturdy design. The gate is a feature I had to have and this was one of the more affordable ones with a gate.

Did not fit and the locking mechanism is junk! The gate once locked is almost impossible to open!
didn't meet my expectations
I was very disappointed with this gate. First there was know way to connect the pieces together, they just side in. Second unless you secure the gate so you can't open it my dog would knock it down. He isn't a big dog but strong. Third and last I had a hard time installing it because it kept falling apart. Would not recommend this product unless it is a very small dog.
Like the added extensions
The Regalo 4-in-1 play gate is great; so we thought this would be the same. However, with this gate ~ 1) the locking system is different and very cumbersome with having to slide the spring loaded sliding lock than having to “lift” the gate to swing it open. A better idea would be to have the same locking system as the 4- in-1 double locking gate latch. 2). This gate does not go from 27 to 47 inches. It should tell you it goes from either 27”, 31”, 41”, or 47”, using the extensions. 3) When using the pressure mounting on drywall ~ I would recommend putting a piece of wood being the mounts and the drywall so it doesn’t dent or make a hole in your drywall. 4) The swing gate “itself” is not very wide as I have to almost walk sideways thru it.
Junk, I do not recommend.
We bought this because we needed a wider gate for a hallway. It is poorly designed and flimsily constructed and does not fit as advertised. We needed the bottom to fit between tall base boards and the top to fit between the walls. It won't do that as one extension makes it too narrow and the other makes it too wide. We would have needed to add some filler strips to make the smaller extension fit and I was unwilling to go to that trouble, not to mention the poor aesthetics if we did that. Combined with the flimsy materieals and poor design it was just too much to overcome. You actually need more more than 2 hands to hold it together while you try to fit it in the space. No, I would not recommend this product.
Perfect for our wider opening.
I read the specs for numerous barriers before ordering this one which I found only on Chewy. The door frame between the kitchen and dining room is an unusual 35 3/4 inches wide. We needed a barrier with a door for this busy corridor since we just got an 8 week old, not potty trained, puppy who could not have the run of the house. This door was easy to install. To get the perfect fit we added the 12 inch extension and over lapped it to the main piece. We did not need to screw it into the door frame as it is plenty sturdy without it. The door opens and closes easily in both directions. All the parts line up beautifully. Very happy with this barrier. One note: if your puppy is a breed smaller than a small Maltipoo, it will be able to squeeze through the bars. Our puppy did this once, but the experience must not have been pleasant for him since he never did it again. I don't know how he did it the first time!
Got a puppy and needed a gate for a hallway that leads to our bedrooms and this works perfectly. We blocked off the side to the left of the gate because our Sheltie puppy could squeeze through. All we used was some Reynolds wrap believe it or not. Won't need to use that for long. Worked very well just as a pressure gate on a 40" wide hallway.
