Great gate, wonky doorway
This is a great gate-typical pressure mount, assembled many. However I find my doorway has shifted quite a bit and the taller top mount needs a skosh more ‘screw’ than is allowed for, compared to the bottom. So-consider your doorway when opting for a tall vs standard gate, measure well both the bottom and 1/2 way up, to be sure. We’ll make it work but it won’t be pretty!!
Disappointed
Prior to ordering the Regalo Pet Products Easy Step Extra Tall Walk-Through Dog Gate, I measured the space to ensure accuracy. Upon receiving/installation, I noticed the measurement of the gate wasn't accurately advertised. I reached out to customer service for a full return/refund of the item, I was given the run around.
Good in general
The gate is good and is keeping my dogs out of my dining room and kitchen. The latch itself is not my favorite and it seems like long-term it won't last as well as those of other gates I've had. It is secure and I don't believe the dogs could ever open it.
Way too short
Upon reading the description I thought this was the size I used to have I even got my tape measure out to look but it is extremely short and will not keep in medium sized dogs at all I had to put up a makeshift taller gate from a panel on my x pen was super frustrated
horribly flawed design
One of the worst products I ever purchased. First of all, you have to have a very specific size of door frame for it to be able to work. Upon installation, there is no tension in the screws, and it is very difficult to maneuver. It does not open/shut correctly. On the door handle, there is a little plastic piece that doesn’t make any sense that hinders the proper operation of the door. You basically have to take it off completely for opening and closing of the gate which defeats the whole purpose. And within the first five minutes after instillation, one of my cats already knocked down. I would not recommend this AT ALL!!
Exactly What I Needed
I wanted a tall gate that could close off the hallway from the kitchen/family room to the main living room. It works like a charm just using the pressure pads without attaching anything to the wall yet. As soon as my puppy gets smart enough to jump up on it or try to jump over it (she can jump pretty high already), then I'm going to need to attach it to the wall. Hopefully by then she's potty trained enough to not pee in the living room or on the stairs. Quite sturdy when set up correctly and I bought two because one hallway is wider and one is narrow so I was able to use both extensions on the wider hallway and it works great!
Really nice gate
This gate is really nice. It looks so much better than the plastic or wood ones. The only issue is that my chihuahua can squeeze through one side. He’s around 10 pounds and by the measurements he shouldn’t be able to go through the small gap but somehow he does. We just placed our old gate through the gap and he can’t get through that way. Really good quality gate. I just wish they made extra bars for the gaps.
Nice gate for dogs and children
well built gate and is perfect for keeping dogs and people out of a room however, it is not so good for keeping cats out of a room! The vertical bars are spaced too far apart, I ended up attaching plexiglass to it so the cats can see through it! and two out of three cats walked straight through the bars! There needs to be an add on kit like chicken wire to go over the bars to keep the spaces closed enough to keep cats out!
Fantastic gate!
We absolutely love this gate! It was super easy to install, it’s been great for our apartment. It doesn’t have to screw into the wall or door frame, which is perfect for renting! We have two dogs and they’re larger and it keeps them out of our kitchen. Make sure to check and read the warning, it doesn’t look like it will latch at first, but upon putting it up, just as the warning on it says, it does work!

Love the gate! I’ve been looking for a tall dark colored gate and this is the only place I could find one.
