We use this very long leash to attach our two small dogs to a tree whilst we’re working in the garden so they don’t run off. We have a lot of wild life (including coyotes) in our large back yard. This way we can keep an eye on them and they can play and sleep in the shade. They are never attached longer than 30 minutes at a time. It’s very hot in Texas: for animals and humans. Did I say that this leash/rope is VERY light? It doesn’t wear them down. It’s not like they have to lug a heavy chain around, or something. So, no worries. They can roam, we can keep an eye on them and they are safe/
Not for pullers

This works unless you have a dog that pulls. Now that it’s warmer, I’m not wearing gloves and it gives me rope burn on my hands if she pulls as we just started retraining. It got tangled around my ankle and my puppy saw a squirrel, I have a very painful rope burn on my ankle. I’m going to try something else. This would work better for small dogs but not big dogs, especially large puppies like mine.

My husband and I own a Malamute Rescue so we have numerous dogs at any given time on top of our personal 5 dogs. Some of the rescues need to be tethered until we can determine if they are a flight risk or not. This product ( which we tried due to our typical go to was out of stock) did not hold up for two days- and not constant use either! Just being used five or ten minutes here and there for a 40 pound Husky and it snapped and off went the Husky( good thing he wanted to stick around). I have several other tether type devices that work great- but this particular one let me down. So in the trash it will go and back to using our trusted other brands.
Not a fan of this at all.

Rope burns were invented by this lead. It's extremely slippery and sucks for any training class. It tangles extremely easily and you have no grip.
Loop at end pulled out on first use

Good idea -- I attached this to myself while I pruned front yard plants and 9-month old Coton puppy could be with me and I didn't have to keep a constant eye on her . . . until one little tug pulled the loop open.

My 50 pound puppy had this broken in 2 days. Used it for a training leash with one good pull the rope just pulled apart
Exactly what I needed

Is perfect for my mini poodle to play on the beach.
Exactly what I expected.

This looked like and, in reality, is like light weight ski rope. I’m using it to train our puppy on certain commands. If you are expecting this to hold a large dog on an extended lead for time outdoors, this product isn’t for you. I think a couple of chews on this without a person having continuous eyes on their dog, the pup could be free. It’s not designed for that and can’t be something it’s not. It works for and is designed for “hands on” training. :-)

This has been perfect for my 19lb Rat Terrier mix. Gives her freedom and is easy to grab if needed. Not to heavy for her and hasn’t snagged. Very pleased.
