How long in advance should I give it to see if effects?
Answer by • May 04, 2020
It's recommended to administer 30 minutes before a stressful event, though cases of extreme stress may require additional time and dosage.
Does this help with car sickness as well as anxiety in riding in a car?
Answer by • Mar 26, 2020
Rescue can be used as often as required during the day and the dose remains the same no matter the size of your pet. A small cat or a large dog are given the same amount of 4 drops whenever administered. Frequency is determined solely by the needs of the animal. In times of situational stress caused by thunderstorms, car rides, being in crowds, or visiting the groomer, etc. you may give Rescue Pet as frequently as every half hour. In those cases, the anticipated circumstance will determine need - one dose may be enough. The glycerin preservative base is slightly sweet and animals usually enjoy the taste. It will not have a direct affect on the car sickness as it works on calming emotions, but may deter car sickness if it is caused by the emotional distress of being in a moving vehicle. Longer standing behaviors may require longer treatment or making Rescue Pet a part of daily routine. Rescue Remedy suggest administering Rescue Pet 4 drops, 4 times a day for the first few days. This can be given by allowing them to lick it off your fingertips, rubbing it onto their nose, between pads of paws or onto bare skin such as abdomen. Again, you may give your pet additional doses as needed, or stop use at anytime. Rescue Pet is non-addictive.
One of the ingredients is Clematis and it is on the toxic list for dogs. How is this safe then?
Answer by • Apr 19, 2021
We use a process of homeopathic serial dilution. Plant properties at this dilution do not contain any alkaloids, which are the toxic component of plants. The specifics about the Clematis in our remedy is the genus of the Clematis species. We use Clematis vitalba which is exclusively grown and picked from the same plants on the BACH Centre property of Dr. Bach’s time. The genus Clematis aristolochia is known to cause toxicity of a moderate nature when ingested by animals. Again, we do not use this species.
Our BACH Flower remedies are safe to use in pets and have been for decades. Rescue Remedy is also acceptable for oral use in humans. The difference between RESCUE Pet and human Rescue Remedy is the preservative used. Pet contains glycerin, while human version is a grape brandy alcohol dilution with purified water.
Will Rescue Remedy make my dog sleepy or tired?
Answer by • Sep 06, 2017
This non-habit forming supplement will not make your pet tired, it simply helps to calm pets in stressful situations.
I had personally used this brand’s Stress Relief lozenges prior to becoming a fur mom. So when I got a puppy a couple of years ago I decided to give this a try. It worked wonders! I give it to Max before long car rides, grooming appointments, and sometimes before bed. I really think it helped him get through those puppy fear periods! Fast forward to two months ago when I adopted an 8 week old kitten >>>
I had no idea just how much energy a tiny ball of fluff could possess. Especially after daily potty time at 5:30AM, when Lil Miss would persuade the easily duped Max into believing that my bedroom was their playground and my bed their trampoline. I started to put a few drops in a bit of her squeezable/lickable treat and voila! She still persuades the dumb dog to chase her but now after about 10 minutes she’s on the bed ready to go back to sleep.
This could easily be put over a bit of dry food but adding it to a high value treat ensures that it’s consumed all at once. With Max I put a few drops on something absorbent, like a freeze dried treat, or on something flat like a small piece of jerky or on chunk of string cheese. That way it’s eaten all at once. It must be tasteless, because Max is really picky and he’s always happy to watch me add it to his treat and gobble it down. He’s never made a face when tasting it. Same with Lil Miss, she doesn’t seem to realize or care that something has been added to her treat.

Really Works!
One of dear cats started fighting with another one of our dear cats a few months ago after---strangely enough--I accidentally fell over from a yoga handstand and landed with a loud, startling thud. The vet recommended Feliway, which does work to calm cats but appears to contain some sort of hazardous material in the aerosolizer. I remembered using the Bach flower essence years ago, but couldn't remember if it had really worked. We gave it a try anyway, not expecting much. Amazingly, after giving both cats the recommended dose in their breakfast, the cats seemed much calmer and became buddies again within a few weeks! We are thinking of buying some of the human version of the Bach flower essence for ourselves.

It works great!
I have house mice that are feral. When it comes time to clean their cage...they became so unglued the past couple of times. Yesterday I started them in the drops as soon as they arrived.
Today, it began to be an issue until I put the carriers inside of the cage. They basically went into the carriers on their own. I was blown away...
Brilliant Littles for sure! 😘🐭💖💞💕

I have been giving this to my puppy for about 3 months (she is now 9 months old) and it works great! She will take it right from the dropper. Calms her within 10 mins.

Tummy troubles
I tried this with my 11 year old(9lbs) and 10 month old(6lbs) chihuahuas and it gave them both diarrhea. After getting them both better I decided to just try the puppy on 1 drop a day since her metabolism is much faster than my little old lady. It still gave her diarrhea

No difference
One of my cats has been growling and hissing since I brought two kittens in. I've tried several products to try to calm him down, but so far nothing has worked.

Very Much Surprised
I have two rescue tom cats, Vampire and Tiny Tim, always hide if anyone comes in our home and when my dogs bark! Prior, to purchasing this product, have been doing some research. After reading the reviews, decided would try. Definitely, not a disappointment! I put in my cats' wet food, after two uses, noticed a difference in their behavior. Vampire and Tiny Tim were no longer hiding, when someone came in. Yes, would stay upstairs in my area, but, not hiding! The SHOCKER, never noticed I mixed with their canned food! Cats notice everything, especially if something has been added to their canned food!! Yes, very satisfied!

Didn't Work For My Dog
Heard great things about this product from vet, trainer, and friends. Finally decided to try it for my dog who gets over excited when I take her places, to the point she has a hard time listening. Tried Rescue Remedy on two different occasions and both times she was even less attentive. Was jumping around so much the second time I decided to stay home. Good thing because the full three drops gave her totally liquid diarrhea. Trainer said it could be similar to Benadryl, makes some people sleepy and others wired. Rescue Remedy definitely makes my dog more wired.

Disappointed
I am trying to find a product that would calm Buster enough to trim his claws. Every time I try, he tries to bite me or the groomer. He weighs 26 lbs. And is quite a handful because he doesn't like to be held.
