How long in advance should I give it to see if effects?
Answer by • May 04, 2020
It's recommended to administer 30 minutes before a stressful event, though cases of extreme stress may require additional time and dosage.
Does this help with car sickness as well as anxiety in riding in a car?
Answer by • Mar 26, 2020
Rescue can be used as often as required during the day and the dose remains the same no matter the size of your pet. A small cat or a large dog are given the same amount of 4 drops whenever administered. Frequency is determined solely by the needs of the animal. In times of situational stress caused by thunderstorms, car rides, being in crowds, or visiting the groomer, etc. you may give Rescue Pet as frequently as every half hour. In those cases, the anticipated circumstance will determine need - one dose may be enough. The glycerin preservative base is slightly sweet and animals usually enjoy the taste. It will not have a direct affect on the car sickness as it works on calming emotions, but may deter car sickness if it is caused by the emotional distress of being in a moving vehicle. Longer standing behaviors may require longer treatment or making Rescue Pet a part of daily routine. Rescue Remedy suggest administering Rescue Pet 4 drops, 4 times a day for the first few days. This can be given by allowing them to lick it off your fingertips, rubbing it onto their nose, between pads of paws or onto bare skin such as abdomen. Again, you may give your pet additional doses as needed, or stop use at anytime. Rescue Pet is non-addictive.
One of the ingredients is Clematis and it is on the toxic list for dogs. How is this safe then?
Answer by • Apr 19, 2021
We use a process of homeopathic serial dilution. Plant properties at this dilution do not contain any alkaloids, which are the toxic component of plants. The specifics about the Clematis in our remedy is the genus of the Clematis species. We use Clematis vitalba which is exclusively grown and picked from the same plants on the BACH Centre property of Dr. Bach’s time. The genus Clematis aristolochia is known to cause toxicity of a moderate nature when ingested by animals. Again, we do not use this species.
Our BACH Flower remedies are safe to use in pets and have been for decades. Rescue Remedy is also acceptable for oral use in humans. The difference between RESCUE Pet and human Rescue Remedy is the preservative used. Pet contains glycerin, while human version is a grape brandy alcohol dilution with purified water.
Will Rescue Remedy make my dog sleepy or tired?
Answer by • Sep 06, 2017
This non-habit forming supplement will not make your pet tired, it simply helps to calm pets in stressful situations.
So, received my purchase this morning, Tuesday, 24 October. Was looking forward to the result of putting a damper on aggressions between some of my indoor rescue cats. Well, regrettably I dropped the box containing the product on the floor. Bottle shattered spilling all contents onto the floor!! Rats!! Will reorder soon. This is only a delayed success story (I hope.) I will order again soon and handle with greater care. Update will be posted.

Not exactly what I thought it would be....
I have 3 dogs and I understand every dog is different. I tried this on all three. One wouldn't not 'eat' it...she turned her nose up, whether it was on her food, a treat or even bacon. She is a lab mix, rescue. Doggie #2 - older Golden - liked and it seems to give a restful sleep. Doggie # 3 - larger older Golden.... loved it but it takes a lot more than 4 drops to make a difference. I'm going to keep using it. I think it's a good product - but it wasn't as effective as I thought it would be.

Works good so far
Product was leaking and the box it was supposed to be in was completely flattened by the dog food I bought along with it. Besides that it seems to be working, I've been giving it to my boy for about three days now and he doesn't seem to get as riled up by the puppies running around upstairs. Usually he jumps up on his cage or on the counter thing behind our couch whining and freaking out. He acknowledges the existence of the puppies upstairs but doesn't freak out like he did before I started giving this to him. He will just sit by the cages and quietly cry and then goes and lays down in bed. Hopefully it continues to work 🤞

This is definitely not what I was expecting. I'm kinda disappointed cause nothing I ordered has been successful for my cat's. I ordered this product in particular to give them to calm them down so that I could give them a bath, since neither one of them have ever had one as far as I know. But I'll just put it this way there was nothing calm about their baths. I wish there was something that would actually help them.

Bought for a trip
We travel in our RV with our new cat who is not a fan of being confined in a crate while we move from one place to another. We have not had the opportunity to use Rescue Remedy yet but have hopes it will calm her constant complaining.

Love this stuff!
I've used the human version of Rescue Remedy on myself for stress and anxiety and can say personally, this tincture works. I've used this on my Morkie for about a year now. Several drops at bedtime helps calm him down and he sleeps deeper. Its non addictive and there are zero side effects. Its alcohol free.

My dog ended up at the vet
I gave her this and she woke up with her eyes shut and her head down. I took her to the vet $250 later and reading it’s toxic to dogs. Do not experiment with this product.

Stress reliever
Works very quickly to calm my dog down. Wish it lasted longer than it does. But they do say you can repeat the dosage.

It absolutely calms my cat for stressful times
I highly recommend this product to help calm your cat for trips to the vets. I give her it about 30 minutes before putting her in her carrier no scratching me up or constant meowing during the car ride. Very mellow during her vet visit too.

Rescue Remedy
Birch is my highly stressed foster. Unable to go to adoption events because of his stress level. Remedy helped calm him down for several hours.
