Firmly press the cap down to puncture the seal on the Revolution Plus tube; a clicking sound will confirm that the cap has successfully punctured the seal. Remove the cap and check to ensure that the tip of the tube is open. To administer the product, part the hair on the back of the animal at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze the tube 3 or 4 times to empty its entire contents directly on to the skin in one spot. Keeping the tube squeezed, drag it away from the liquid and lift to remove. Check the tube to ensure that it is empty. Do not massage the product into the skin. Due to alcohol content, do not apply to broken skin. Avoid contact between the product and fingers. Do not apply when the hair coat is wet. Stiff hair, clumping of hair, hair discoloration, or a slight powdery residue may be observed at the treatment site in some cats. These effects are temporary and do not affect the safety or effectiveness of the product. Discard empty tubes in your ordinary household refuse.

Revolution Plus builds upon the proven 5-in-1 protection of Revolution, veterinarians’ #1 trusted pest treatment for cats—PLUS it now protects against ticks, too.

Revolution Plus broadens the scope of protection for cats and kittens, inside and out, against fleas, ticks, ear mites, roundworms, hookworms, and heartworms. Get the 6-in-1 Protection Basics
Parasites are not outdoor-only. Fleas, ticks, ear mites, intestinal worms, and heartworms can get into any home. Parasites hitchhike indoors on other pets or creatures, on shoes and clothes, or get inside through doors and windows. Cats and kittens of all lifestyles (indoor-only, indoor/outdoor, outdoor-only) can regularly come in contact with parasites and their health risks. With one monthly dose, RRevolution Plusprovides broad-spectrum coverage against common pests that both indoor and outdoor cats need.
Revolution Plus is a simple-to-apply, quick-drying, small-volume, monthly topical solution—so there’s no need to hassle with larger volume topicals or giving your cat a pill!
The most commonly reported side effects in clinical trials were temporary loss of appetite and drowsiness. No side effects were noted when Revolution Plus was used along with commonly prescribed veterinary products.
While there was a low incidence of side effects in clinical trials, it’s important to report to your veterinarian any unusual signs or activity in your cat or kitten after applying the product.
Revolution Plus is proven safe for cats and kittens as young as 8 weeks of age, weighing 2.8 lbs or greater. The safe use of Revolution Plus has not been established in kittens less than 8 weeks old or breeding, pregnant, or lactating cats.
Since one of the active ingredients (sarolaner) in Revolution Plus is a member of the isoxazoline class, use with caution in cats with a history of neurologic disorders such as seizures. Revolution Plus has been administered in conjunction with numerous cat medications and may be given to cats with adult heartworm infection.
It’s always best to talk with your veterinarian about the right protection for your furry friend. But a good start is looking at our comparison chart to see how the Revolution Plus label compares to that of other pest preventatives. Only Revolution Plus provides broad-spectrum, 6-in-1 protection against fleas, ticks (black-legged or deer tick, Gulf Coast tick, and American dog tick), ear mites, roundworms, hookworms and heartworms, with unique dual action against fleas and ear mites.
Though certain ticks are more prominent in certain areas (i.e., Gulf Coast tick in Southeastern and mid-Atlantic states; American dog tick east of the Rocky Mountains and Pacific coast; black-legged or deer tick across eastern U.S.), cat owners should be vigilant with year-round tick and other pest protection in all 50 states to ensure cats of all lifestyles (indoor-only, indoor/outdoor, outdoor-only) are properly protected with broad-spectrum preventative medicine such as Revolution Plus.

I’ve tried soooo many flea medications and none of them showed any real results. I saw a lot of reviews that talked about the same situation so I decided to try this medication for my 3 cats. One of them actually had a really bad flea allergy and lost so much hair, would constantly leave flea dirt everywhere. I took him countless dawn soap baths, I’ve tried random Remedies I seen online and nothing I did really worked for them because they just had so many fleas and it was hard to get them all off especially because they started to infest our home. I tried this medication and oh my god it is an absolute LIFE SAVER. With the combination of this and using flea bombs to get rid of them in our home we saw results by the last treatment. Constantly found dead fleas that had fallen off of them, our cats scratched a lot less and seemed so much more calm, and our one cat that had the bad flea allergy completely healed up. He went from scratching every second to not at all, his fur grew back completely, and he’s soo much happier. We have not found a single flea on them and they are living a lot happier now that they are flea free. It’s expensive but I rather pay the money for a guarantee that the medication will work. PLEASE PLEASE don’t keep wasting your money on medications that are cheap and won’t work and invest in this medication. You do have to get permission from your vet which is a bit of a downer but it’s really really worth it.
I like this product it seems to dry faster than others it smells like alcohol so I’m sure that helps with the drying. I always kept my cats inside in Florida never went in screed in porches and my 16 year old has heart worm so I’m not taking chances with my baby Mainecoons .
About 10-15 minutes after applying this, he suddenly became very high-energy and went into “hunting mode” complete with the crazy eyes. Pawed at the dogs and I from underneath the couch, sprinted around, etc. I’ve never seen my cat act like this before, it was hilarious. I wish I could post the videos, but I had to settle for a couple stills from the video instead. Maybe a coincidence, but very weird timing. Anyway, he calmed down about 20 minutes later and I’ve noticed no other side effects. He’s actually a little over 11 lbs. but I’m glad I chose to go with the lower dose or who knows what he would’ve done! XD
I’m pretty disappointed that my original review wasn’t posted so here’s a second try. I want to start this off by saying, what happened to my cat, Bing, did not happen to my cat, Roo, so this isn’t very common, but it happened none the less and I will absolutely never use Revolution Plus again. I adopted Bing in February 2023 and the shelter used Revolution Plus so I just continued that once I brought him home. I had been using it for 4 months, until the last time on July 20th. When I first put it on him, the normal loss of fur happened, until it spiraled into a horrible chemical burn. I am now required to keep and change a premie sized onesie on Bing, change the Telfa pad, and put ointment antibiotics on the wound until it heals. It’s been over a month now, August 25th and there seems to be no end in sight. I’ve experienced many different kinds of injuries on animals, but I’ve never experienced something so traumatic. The best way I can describe what it looked like is a bloody brain. I won’t be posting pictures of the wound because of how graphic it is. We are on a long road to recover, but Bing is a trooper! Again, this didn’t happen to my cat, Roo so the circumstances aren’t common, but I will never use this product again.
I should know by now not to trust pharma companies when they insist their products are safe. I gave this to my girl and the next day she was wracked with muscle tremors. It contains an ingredient that is a neurotoxin. I can not believe vets are prescribing this.
Our cat is 5 years old but she’s petite, probably 7 pounds. We live on a farm & she came to us as an outdoor cat, so the best we can negotiate with her is indoor/outdoor, lol. Living in the country, fleas & ticks are always a threat to pets. We had been using Frontline with extremely good results, then during the 2nd year, it just stopped working for fleas. After that, I would comb her out every night & that just cut down on them, and it was very time consuming. Then we tried Revolution. The first month, I found a couple fleas on her & 1 tick, but they were all dead. After continued use, we’ve found absolutely no fleas or ticks on her at all. She doesn’t scratch near as much either. We’re on her 4th month and it’s working great. The fact that it guards against some parasites is just gravy. Note: The first couple months she lost some hair at the application spot, but evidently that’s normal & not anything serious.
I had bought this product originally after I had taken a kitten to the vet and the vet had told us that he used this on the kitten. He responded well to the trip to the vet and is in good health now 2 years later, except for his teeth have started falling out. (Not sure if this product is any cause for that) After I saw his great improvement, I had decided to buy this from the chewy website for our then, 2 year old female cat. She was in great health and still young and very lively. The first months dose I noticed her leaving piles of regurgitation around the house but had thought maybe it was a stomach issue/food issue. The SECOND month, she started acting very strange and unlike herself. Rarely walking, finding places to hide, not meowing or anything. Then she stopped eating almost completely. She continually got worse and within two months of using this product my loving, healthy, strictly INDOOR cat DIED without cause or reason. She was up to date on all her shots and vaccinations as well. I recently saw commercials for this product with clear side effects that were unbeknownst to me stating Revolution Plus may cause "lethargy and anorexia" in some cats. Why was this information just now made clear to buyers? Please use caution if purchasing this product.
This is really expensive , but if you want tonget rid of those nasty bugs and help your cat, get this, you won't be sorry, I will be purchasing again..but it is a prescription, so u have to get a script from your vet
We only give our cats Revolution and Revolution plus. We brought in stray and feral cats that had fleas, ticks, and earmites. This treatment got rid of everything. It really works!! In the past we tried to save money and get the cheaper flea treatments that you can buy in the store without a prescription. Two of our cats had chemical burns from the cheaper flea treatment. We will never buy anything but Revolution.
Works, but it is expensive. After using another product that did absolutely nothing, using Revolution Plus as well as constant vacuuming, flea bombs and steam cleaning finally seems to have worked.
