Best Topical for Cats Right Now

By CatMom on Jun 24, 2020

Per our vet's recommendations revolution PLUS is the best topical flea (etc.) treatment on the market right now for cats. The efficacy of flea treatments for cats changes every couple of years, so I recommend checking which treatment works best in your area with your vet before ordering. We took Per our vet's recommendations revolution PLUS is the best topical flea (etc.) treatment on the market right now for cats. The efficacy of flea treatments for cats changes every couple of years, so I recommend checking which treatment works best in your area with your vet before ordering. We took in 3 orphaned kittens who came to us infested with fleas and ear mites and Cheristin just wasn't cutting it for our older cat. Within two days of treatment, I saw a noticeable decline in fleas. After one week, fleas were undetectable on our pets. Our cat did have some fur fall out at the application site (which can happen). It didn't seem to irritate or burn his skin when I was applying it (which I have seen other topicals do). Extra bonus, revolution PLUS also treats ticks, ear mites, intestinal worms, and heartworms. Our kitten was also treated with the kitten sized revolution PLUS by the vet and did not lose any fur at the application site. … more

Prescription took forever to get approval

Especially the product prevents ear mite for my cat. I took 3 stars off, because it took forever to get prescription approval and I finally figured out the Chewy pharmacist is not performing and lying. I would consider get the product some where else in future. First of all, things do not make me comfortable is that, I was told Chewy did not receive prescription approval thru an email SEVEN DAYS after the order been placed and Chewy will cancel my order in next 24 hours. But, I did not receive any update email from Chewy in the previous 7-days! I have to make multiple calls to save my order in the 24 hour time! Second, I have to call multiple times between my Vet and Chewy and ensure the doc is transferred between them. I have to make at least 2-3 calls with each step of the followings: 1.ask chewy when they sent the doc and request to resend/fax the document. Also have to confirm the fax number. 2. confirm with Vet that they received doc and work on signature. 3. Chewy received the signed doc. and ready for shipment. The process/call is very smooth with my Vet every time, but when contacting Chewy, they always said they did not receive the approved doc, OR they will call my vet for verbal approval, but they never did. The last time I contacted Chewy, I was totally frustrated after hours of calling. I requested the pharmacist to call my vet for verbal approval right away during my call (with the vet's office hours). But a few minutes later, I was told the pharmacist called the vet 3 times, but no one answered??? By then, I am pretty sure the Chewy pharmacist is not performing, because I just called my vet few minutes before and I was even able to merge my vet's call with Chewy. And my vet's clinic receives multiple fax from Chewy everyday and I'm sure they did not block Chewy's number. Obviously, the pharmacist is not performing and I doubted if they are telling the truth. I was stuck in the middle with the process. It wasted my time, my vet's time, the customer service staff's time. In addition, it also caused other customers to wait longer time to reach a customer service staff. Very Very bad experience that I wish I did not place the order at Chewy. … more

    Indoor cats got fleas

    By on

My 3 cats got fleas from carrying them in on shoes. The product works good but the first vial I opened was empty. It was sealed but no liquid inside it
