The most common is hair loss at the site of application with or without inflammation (redness, flaking) in cats. Other side effects reported in cats and dogs include vomiting, diarrhea with or without blood, anorexia (decreased appetite), lethargy (sluggishness), salivation, rapid breathing, pruritus (itching), urticaria (welts, hives), erythema (skin redness), ataxia (incoordination), fever and rare instances of death. There have also been rare reports of seizures in dogs. If you have additional questions about possible side effects, talk to your veterinarian.

Prior to administration of Revolution, cats should be tested for existing heartworm infections. At the discretion of the veterinarian, infected cats should be treated to remove adult heartworms. Revolution is not effective against adult D. immitis and, while the number of circulating microfilariae may decrease following treatment, Revolution is not effective for microfilariae clearance. Hypersensitivity reactions have not been observed in cats with patent heartworm infections administered three times the recommended dose of Revolution. Higher doses were not tested. For use in animals only. Keep out of reach of children.

My dog just got a tick 10 days after application. I went to the vet as I could not remove it, I also took a photo of it and sent it to a university study where they tell you what kind it is - both confirmed it’s a western black legged Tick that Caries Lyme plus 7 other very nasty and scary Diseases. Come to find out revolution only protects from ONE kind of tick! The dog tick. That’s it!! It says fleas and ticks, plural. It’s actually fleas and tick. One tick. Sure hope my dog is going to be ok. Now I have to wait 3-6 months to have him tested and pray. Here I thought I was keeping my dog safe based on the vets recommendation. Nope. Only the oral protects against the 4 Lyme ticks. Sure wish I had read the fine print!!!
Yes, Advantage and probably others will kill fleas. But in my experience, no other product works as quickly, or lasts as long. This kills fleas, larva, eggs, ear mites, heart worms, round worms, AND the fleas loose in your house. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's worth it. If you get a serious infestation, don't waste your time or money on anything else. Treat all your cats (and dogs) with this all at the same time, and in one day, your problem is over.
I have been using this for years. It’s what my vet recommends and it’s more convenient for me to buy on Chewy where they can contact my vet and then ship the medicine to me.
have been using this for years, our cat does not like it but he don't like us to make him do anything. just wish chewy would stop running out of prescription treats, that becomes a problem
I feel it's important to protect my cats with Revolution in the Spring, Summer & Fall for ticks & fleas. Chewy was great in delivering fast!
I've heard this is great but as I perform this on barn (feral) cats, it is hard to tell. Chewy.com has stellar customer care - many other retail outlets should learn from you guys!
No fleas!! Not easy to apply to cats but I would expect that.
Good products, fair prices, prompt shipment. I will use Chewy regularly.
Does not work! My cat doesn’t go outside, and yet she keeps getting more and more fleas each day. There are no fleas inside anywhere near her and the ones on her should have died so why is she getting more and more?
I'm sure this has worked with plenty of cats, but for my 18 month old healthy 11lb tabby it did leave a missing patch of hair at the application site and he still has fleas. Will be requesting refund and purchasing Revolution Plus per my vets recommendation after the fact.
