Prior to administration of Revolution, dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections. At the discretion of the veterinarian, infected dogs should be treated to remove adult heartworms. Revolution is not effective against adult D. immitis and, while the number of circulating microfilariae may decrease following treatment, Revolution is not effective for microfilariae clearance. Hypersensitivity reactions have not been observed in dogs with patent heartworm infections administered three times the recommended dose of Revolution. Higher doses were not tested. For use in animals only. Keep out of reach of children.

Easy to apply, quick to dry, Revolution (selamectin) protects dogs against a variety of common internal and external parasites. Revolution is the first FDA-approved, topically applied medication for dogs 6 weeks and older that:
Revolution is quick-drying, nongreasy and waterfast, with no unpleasant odor, so you can cuddle and play with your dog as soon as the product dries. Bathing your dog 2 hours after application does not reduce the effectiveness of Revolution.
Revolution is a prescription-only medication available only through a veterinarian, not a pesticide registered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Just one dose a month applied at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades is all your dog needs for protection against fleas, heartworms and other parasites. No pills. No sticky sprays. No more hassling with multiple products.
After application, Revolution enters the bloodstream through the skin. Concentrations of Revolution in the blood and tissues prevent heartworm disease. Revolution selectively redistributes from the blood to the skin, where it provides protection against fleas, flea eggs, American dog ticks and mites.
Parasites are an annoying fact of life for our dogs. Parasites can cause a range of problems, from bothersome scratching to more serious medical issues, such as infections and dangerous or even deadly diseases. How dangerous these problems are depends on the type of parasite, the degree of infection or infestation, and your dog's reaction to the parasite.
Most parasites that affect dogs pose no risk for humans. However, a few parasites, like sarcoptic mange mites, are zoonotic, meaning they can be transmitted from animals to humans. Your veterinarian can recommend methods to prevent, treat or control many canine parasites to reduce the chance of human exposure and to keep your dog healthy.
The price is high, but this is topical, and I feel like it is safer than anything else for keeping away ticks and fleas. It's a really small amount that just easily applies to the back of the neck, and there is no residue or any way to tell any treatment was given. Easy and safe.
I’ve tried many different heart worm, flea and tick medications for my little dog. She refused to swallow any of them. I’m so happy to find Revolution where I can simply put a few drops on her back between her shoulders. Thank you.
I chose Revolution because my dog is a rescue and only has 1 tooth, so chewing hard substances is an issue. He also is very small and doesn't go outside that much, so I felt Revolution was the best choice. I also had previously used on my other dogs and they never had fleas or heartworms, so I feel it is a good product.
Revolution is awesome. Haven't had a flea in ten years. Works great. I would recommend this.
You're great! though I don't understand why I need my veterinarian approval in order to get a flea& tick product.
Chewy has everything you think you will need for a new puppy. And they are the best in checking on your prescriptions with your vet!
I used this product on my 15 year old chihuahua with history of seizures. It was supposed to be safe. NOT. Dog had seizures, vomiting, diahrreah, he passed 4 days after using this med. BE EXTREMELY careful using this product.
I've been using it for my now 17 y.o. Pekingese for a few months. Seems to be working OK and she hasn't had side effects.
I have used Revolution on my Pomeranian since he was a puppy. He is now 14 years old. I love the product, but the price that Chewy charge was nothing less than absolutely outrageous! Incredibly overpriced and in my opinion, they are gouging the public for the global shortage of the product.
I love this product used it my whole dogs life!!
