Been using this 2 WEEKS and we're sold forever! We'll never be out! This is unbelievable: 1. All 5 brat cats 87⁷LOVE it and lick off a finger. Initially tried smearing on tops of feet but wasn't necessary. 2. Only once a day. 3. Zero petroleum. 4. Organic and natural ingredients, not crap from a lab. This small cat had hairballs like blockages, he could barely eat, and lost enough weight that it was noticeable all over. Now, not a single hairball in 2wks. With 5 cats, I keep a dedicated cleaning caddy just for them, and no one has vomited in 2wks, that is such a huge deal around here. So, back to our senior: now he can eat, and he's been eating like a little horse for 2wks and he's filling out all over, and he's so vocal and playful. He can even drink enough water now. This cat will go on hunger strikes when I have tried other treats, drops, crushed medicine, everything, he hates it all.... except this hairball gel! I purchased, only hoping it might help at least 1 cat, because that would still be worth it. Instead, it has miraculously fixed them all in 2wks. … more

Read All 50 Critical ReviewsExploding tube + horrible gas = no thanks

When I squeezed the tube of Richards cat hair ball remedy to dispense it, the heat seal on the back end of the tube broke open and the contents burst out of breach. Perturbed but still hopeful, I gave a small dollop of the released contents to the cat and he gobbled it up. Hurrah! Perturbed but still hopeful, I gave a small dollop of the released contents to the cat and he gobbled it up. Hurrah! A few hours later I started to smell something very foul, like sewage, and I ran through the house trying to find which toilet was plugged or where sewage had backed up into the house. But there was no sewage backup. Confused, I finally returned to sit the room where the cat slept peacefully on a chair. The smell still filled the room and I realized to my horror and relief, that it had originated with the cat as he periodically emitted the most foul gas I have ever smelled. In the interest of fairness and hoping that this might just be a disgusting coincidence, the next day I once again gave him a dollop of Richards and he again gobbled it up (!), but the gassy stench repeated itself a few hours later. Two good things came out of this, the awful flatulence went away when he stopped eating the product and no expensive sewer line repairs were needed. … more

works.... but

My cats love it. I just put it on top of their food. It’s the first thing the eat! They prefer the tuna flavor but will eventually eat the chicken flavored. Now for the bad news... the plastic tube is not good. It’s to big for the amount of product. squeezing produces some farting sounds or if you pound it on the counter you might get more to settle at the opening. Too much trouble! So I just take a pair of scissors and cut off the crimped end of the tube. I put a spoon in it and leave it until all the products is gone. I have experienced some product separation, cats don’t care, neither do I. The good news is I’m not waking up to cat puke on my bed any longer. 3 cats use one tube a week. I give My cats love it. No Problems...Lily Loves This...
By CatsRMyHeart4Ever on Mar 31, 2021
I was using the natural version of the other popular hairball remedy but when it came time to buy some for my little girl Lily, it was out of stock everywhere. So I ordered a couple tubes of this to see if she would like it and it was a hit!!! No hesitation, she just dug right in, lol. I had no problem whatsoever with the tube. I was used to having to shake it when using the other brand so I already assumed I'd be doing the same. I went ahead and massaged the tube a little but then shook back and forth, then turned the tube the other way and shook back and forth that way. It is working perfectly for her and I am happy about that! DO NOT refrigerate. The only way you could use this stuff if you do is to keep it out for who knows how long until it becomes room temp, so no need. I've never refrigerated this or the other brand and had no problems over the years. She has something going on with her poop, and gets constipated, so this helps her to stay regular. I am giving every day (once or twice). I think I'll stick with this brand too. … more

happy cats

My cats gobble this up. Love that it's all natural. Works like a charm. You must make sure it's blended in the tube though, and lots is left after your last squeeze so tube must be cut open or it would have gotten five stars.

My cat thinks it's a treat!
By Michi on Mar 14, 2021
My cat hated the petroleum based remedies, which if you think about it makes perfect sense. I certainly wouldn't want to ingest Petroleum! She loves Richard's Organics Hairball Remedy and looks forward to getting her chicken flavored "treat". I do agree with some of the negative comments about the packaging. While you can tell the heavy quality of the packaging is more like that of a high end hand cream, it's not quite the right choice for a thicker product like this remedy. Toothpaste packaging might be better suited to aid in getting to every last bit of the product inside. Even if I have to cut the tube open to get to it, I will be purchasing this again for my girl.
