I tried this for the price and unfortunately bought too many. My issue is that even putting in the refrigerator, it comes out like water. I tried 'shaking' side to side, pressing from bottom to side, to 'mix' and Nothing worked... Sometimes it is that you get what you pay for. I'm Glad it worked out for others tho !
This is a great product! Charlie is prone to hair balls, and this product has changed our lives :). The downside is his picky big sister won’t touch it (I can’t find one anywhere that she likes!). Luckily, chewy has a few I haven’t tried yet, so I’m still hoping. The tube can be a pain, but taking off the whole cap helped. My problem is availability. It’s been unavailable for months now. I found something at the supermarket for a short term sub, but I really need this product to come back on line again. Hopefully this cat supply crisis will be over soon.
My kitty loves this stuff, she won't use anything else. I wish it would come back in stock!
This product is a game changer for my 18 1/2 year old longhaired kitty. I wish it were more readily available. I went right to their website to try and purchase it and it says to order from Chewy. Chewy hardly ever has it. It's made here in America (Florida). I have been waiting months for this item to be restocked.
My cats won’t touch this. Even mixed in with the smelliest (and yummiest to them) of tuna and mackerel mousse. Topped with ahi tuna they still know it’s in there, and scoff at it. Sad that the whole tube went into the trash.
I think it works better than other products tried. The tube is thick and inflexible which makes it impossible to squeeze out the product. The only way to get the stuff out is to cut the bottom end off tube and use a spoon to get it out. It sticks to the sides of the tube so have to scrape with the spoon. Then have to keep it in a plastic bag until used up. My hands the tube and the plastic bag are covered with this oily, messy stuff. Yuck!
Richards is amazing and our Nordie is kept healthy because of this product. He is elderly and his hairballs had become life threatening, and between Richard's and daily Furminatings, he has had a very significant reduction in the size and frequency of hairballs. Chewy however ALWAYS packs this and our monthly flea treatment in the same box as our 40 pound order of cat litter and the bottles are brittle and will crack. Because these are natural ingredients this causes the contents to spoil before it can be used completely. Chewy is good about replacement, but there should not be a need for replacement if they added one common sense step in their warehouse process. This product is so amazing, I am not going to mark it down for Chewy's internal issues.
We've had good luck giving our cats Richard's Organics hairball remedy. They especially like the tuna flavor. Two of our three cats willingly lick it from our fingers. I appreciate that the ingredients seem better than the other hairball gels out there.
My cats really like this flavor and eat is easily from a spoon or if on my finger.
This is the first hairball treatment I have found that might cat actually likes. It’s a great little snack for him.
