Questions & Answers

6 Customer Questions

Can this be applied to the comb or near eyes?
Answer by ChewyJan 19, 2021
It is not recommended to get it in the eyes. If the Pick No More can be applied thin enough that it stays in place and doesn’t run down into the eyes that would be best.

Can we use the eggs while this product is on our hens?
Answer by ChewyJun 02, 2021
It is safe to use the eggs from hens being treated with this product. If any of the lotion gets on an egg wipe it off with a damp cloth. This is to keep the lotion from resulting in the cooked egg and affecting the taste.

Is this product toxic if ingested by another bullying chicken?
Answer by ChewyFeb 24, 2021
The small amount from pecking the treated bird isn't enough to be toxic.

Can this be applied on ducks?
Answer by ChewyJan 04, 2021
This lotion is recommended for external use on domestic poultry.

It's not working.

I only have 2 hens and one keeps pecking the other's back , which is mostly bare by now. I was hoping this stuff would help, but it's not. I think the other hen likes the taste of it.

On the way to healing

My girl that was being picked on, truly is being picked on no more in the same areas! Lol poor thing has new spots but I put it on those and it seems she is being left alone now.

Works great

Does the job!! It seems to deter the my quail from pecking each others heads bloody and helps them heal faster.

The chickens pecked more at themselves after I applied it. Ugh!

great product!

We’ve got a couple overly friendly roosters whose spurs caused some wing damage (loss of feathers - raw area at the top of the wing) on a few of their favorite hens - this was instrumental In helping protect those areas so it could heal - we have new feather growth too!

Worked well

The item truly helped with the pecking issue with our young birds that are unable to run free range yet. The only thing that was aggravating was that it was opened and half gone. It looked as though someone pulled a fast one when they returned it. The plastic seal on the outside was unopened, but the interior seal was open. I do not feel this was in any way the manufactures or chewy's fault. This is the only reason for 4 starts. The product really did work for us. Takes two people to apply. One to hold the bird and another to apply or rather paint on any vulnerable areas. Highly recommend to anyone with this behavioral problem. Clearly over crowding is the root problem. This is a minor fix till they are large enough to be released. Thank you!

Just In Time

My chicks were pecking at the crest feathers on the Polish and they had gotten down to the skin, but broken through yet. This product arrived just in time to cover the skin and ward off the pecking. It has a nice grape smell and a thick liquid texture that coats the area nicely. It stayed on my chicks head until it wore off. If we have another pecking problem, this will come in handy.
