  • Best food for weaning and underweight kittens

    By on

I foster a lot of kittens, and this is by far the best food for weaning. They love the taste immediately. I am using it for a sick kitten that is underweight from toxoplasmosis. For many weeks she was too weak to eat by herself, but babycat can be drawn up in a syringe for feeding, unlike other wet foods. She's not out of the woods yet, but babycat has helped save her life.

  • Easy to mix with milk formula and feed from a bottle.

    By on

Kittens love this stuff, and it is very smooth, which makes it easy to mash up and mix with KMR and feed from a bottle. This is how I transition my foster kittens from milk formula to solid food.

  • Good stuff, highly recommended.

I'm fostering a mother cat & 5 kittens. The kittens were weaned on Royal Canin babycat formula, and both they and their mama love it. I love that they're getting high quality nutrition.

  • Excellent quality

    By on

Even though this food is focused on kittens, I have found it to be perfect for my older cats who need food that is easily digestable and extra nutrients and vitamins. They absolutely love it!

  • Rescue kitten thriving

    By on Top 500 Contributor

Came to the aid of a tiny kitten abandoned. After it was determined he was only 4 weeks old he was started on this kitten food and vet formula dry. 3 weeks later he is growing and putting on weight. His coat is soft. He gobbles this can food right down. He eats the dry as well but struggles because he still has a few tiny teeth..but he is coming along very well. So far has been no problems. Gave it only 4 stars as I wish a smaller quantity was also available and it's a bit of a cost. Since kitten is thriving I will continue to feed.

  • My new kitten LOVES this food!

    By on

New kitten was SO tiny & wasn't eating much. When looking for something for a baby kitten, I luckily found the Royal Canin for babies & mommies. She LOVES the food, is growing & very content. Our vet is thrilled with her progress & highly recommends this brand as the best! I'm a very happy mom!

  • My kitten loves RC baby cat!

    By on

My kitten was only at the shelter for one day when I got him. His health was bad as he had grubs which caused him to have a heart murmur. He had to be hospitalized with an upper respiratory infection. I did not know if he was going to survive. Now after having him for six weeks eating RC baby cat wet and dry he is feeling and looking great!

  • Great for weaning

    By on

I have been fostering bottle baby kittens for many years now and I love this food for weaning. The kittens love it and it doesn't seem to upset their tummies. I recommend this for anyone who has very young kittens whether they are bottle raised or with their mother and ready for weaning.
