This is only a guide. Optimal feeding amounts may vary according to your pet's temperament, activity level and environment. If you have any questions regarding your pet's health, please contact your veterinarian.
We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.
All of our dry diets are preserved naturally with mixed tocopherols, citric acid, and rosemary extract. Our canned diets are naturally preserved and sterilized during the cooking and canning process.
We select our ingredients based on multiple factors, including the supplier’s compliance with our quality and food safety requirements, consistent availability, and on the nutrients required to meet the dietary needs of the pet.Royal Canin is making strides towards sustainability by attempting to obtain sources of raw materials as close to each manufacturing facility as possible. In some cases, we use international suppliers, because only those suppliers can offer raw materials that comply with our quality and food safety standards.
Royal Canin chooses ingredients because they deliver high-quality nutrients that support our customized pet food formulas. Using chicken by-product meal instead of chicken meal for example will allow Royal Canin to maintain its highly customized nutrient standards while achieving a more secure and sustainable supply.
Grains can be a healthy part of any cat or dog’s diet. As always, we focus on the nutrients each ingredient provides and grains can provide many important nutrients.
Our Quality and Food Safety systems are state-of-the-art and we continue to invest heavily in new technology to make sure they remain that way. We put our suppliers through a rigorous selection process that doesn’t end with our first purchase. We monitor every load delivered to our plants to verify the safety and quality of the ingredients we use to make pet food. We perform tests on finished pet foods before they are shipped to our customers. We manufacture every pet food we sell, in plants that we own; our plants are ISO 9001:2008 certified for Quality Management and ISO 22000 certified for Food Safety.

Great food for picky mini poodle puppy! After trial and error, we found RC to cause less gas, firm stool, less itching. Very happy with the results!
Our picky eater six month old cavapoo enjoys this food. 4th food we tried and finally found a fit. Happy we finally found something he likes.
We have our adult poodles on Royal Canin Poodle, and they love it so when we got our two poodles Puppy's we put them on Royal Canin poodle puppy Dry Dog Food. We transition them over from the food the breeder had them on. Now there only on Royal Canin Poodle Puppy Dry Dog Food and they love it.
Our fur babies (Aussie and Sheepadoodle) love this food so much we have it down to a science how many bags to order a month and even have it on Autoship. They are clamoring on the porch the moment this arrives and wait unpatiently for us to unbox. The only thing we wish was the bag was bigger so we didn't have to buy so many bags. Benny and Kygo give 4 paws up.
He enjoys his meal time and eats all of his food. Since this is designed for toy poodles specifically I tried it and he likes it!
I had my 3 month old standard poodle on this and she loved it but I did recognize that on the adult poodle food it shows an adult toy poodle and in the info section on here it says “small and medium breed” my poodle isnt growing how she’s supposed to and I’m assuming it’s because of this food so I switched her to Purina. I’m sad because she absolutely LOVES RC but I don’t think it’s for standard poodles. They should be specific with what size breed this food is for.
Great first puppy food. Small crunchy bites for little mouths!!
I was about to give up when he was turning 4months , been there done that, most expensive or whatever name it all, i know u also been through with all that exhaustion on what to feed your puppy, and still no matter what or expensive food u give him , he just walks away.(pulling my hair with aggravation) lol. anyways and so i tried this(PUPPY POODLE dry kibble Royal Canin) an honest review here to all momsies out there, i don’t know with other maltipoo/poodle owners, tbh i cant say if you buy this it will make ur puppy eat more 100%— NO, ofc i know our dogs have different taste /type of food/kibble health issue so on and so forth, but to my Mr. Fluffy you wont believe i know it may sound sarcastic or maybe u would find this over reacting but it did made me tear up and as i continue to do the transition from his old kibble(pedigree puppy kibble) to just seeing him turning away with the old d.food and choosing this dry kibble esp made for poodle, well then i teared up again and said “finally”, me and my Fiancee were so relieved that we passed the difficult stage of choosing his type/kind of food and today after his wellness checkup his vet told us is he’s Super healthy , and asked what we feed him, i feed him stella and chewy dried freeze raw patties for puppy. i prepare it with crumbling the patties (and ofc i give him the serving size according to his weight on the package) , then i add warm water(its more appetizing for dogs trust me on this it enhances the flavor and the aroma, a pump of his salmon oil, and 2 table spoons of this kibble, sprinkle some stella magic food topper dust, and on a side— i put a cup of this kibble on his other food bowl , because he has this habit of after eating what i prepared for him ,he likes to eat all dry kibble after. he is now eating well, i do not worry about him not eating his food anymore,i don’t have to call him anymore, or hand feed him just to have something in his tummy, he follows me to the kitchen and he just sits and behave on his place in the kitchen where i want him to stay, looking at me preparing sniffing in the air wags his tail, he is just so excited that he is going to eat his favorites meal. and i know some of you probably asking yourself why do i have to go to the extent when u can just feed him whatever, cheap and so on and so forth, i remember a person asked me why do u stress yourself when their just dogs” okay you need to do your research where they came from, and put their lifestyle/ situation what they do, what they eat, their temperament, habits ,etc etc simply just put urself in their shoes, you need to understand where their coming from to gain that respect and outmost understanding these packs are. and most impt ,because you gotta make sure to feed em especially PUPPIES! it is so impt to feed the puppy regardless of what breed it is a sharkydoodle or a trout- zhu whatever dog breeds out there,(lol) or YOU REALLY HAVE TO, NEED TO feed them 3-4 a day! no buts no excuses, period. thanks you r.canin! thank u everyone whoever reads this i know its a long one but i really hope you enjoy reading it and hope it enlighten you and not to give up on trying to find whats best and good for your dogs, and i hope it helped some momsies out there who is having a hard time feeding their cotton balls. goodluck everyone! xoxo ToNi and Mr. Fluffy
My new poodle puppy was not eating very well so tried this poodle puppy food now instead of playing and spitting out his food he stays at the dish and makes all gone and runs around like a Happy Boy !
