Transition Instructions

We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet's digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

    Royal Canin digestive care pouch

By Ritak on Apr 9, 2021

So I’ve been feeding Royal Canin digestive care for a long time but realized that my pup seemed to enjoy the food so much more when it was a new can. So I got the idea to buy the pouches even though it is more expensive because he’s a little guy and doesn’t eat much of it as he gets dry food as well and this way it’s fresher! Tony is happy with the idea

Good substitute for RC small pouches

By Ameenah on Dec 19, 2020

Seems like forever there is a problem with getting Royal Canin Small Dog Pouches which is the only wet food my Russian Toy dog has every been fed. I called Royal Canin to express my frustration and find a comparable substitute wet food. The Rep was very nice and understanding of my frustration that no local or online store had the food in stock, nor knew when they might have it available again. She recommended Royal Canin Digestive Care pouches as a good alternative. The food in these pouches is “loaf” style as opposed to “tiny bites in gravy” so it is a bit sloppier getting to the bowl. My 6 pound Russian Toy dog likes this food. The food switch was sudden and he did not experience any “back end” issues with the quick switch of food. So here we are again no Royal Canin Small Dog Pouches available and so I am ordering more boxes of the Royal Canin Digestive Care wet food pouches again. My Russian Toy dog gets 1 Boneo Maintenance Pill daily - I crush it and mix it in wet food, since there is no gravy in Royal Canin Digestive Care wet food pouches, I have to add a bit of bottled water to get the crushed pill to mix in well. I gave 4 star review because of the lack of gravy. … more

    She loves it

By Nickname on Jan 27, 2021

Chiquis was having some pancreatitis issues. The vet put her on another dog food, but it only comes in the large cans. These pouches are just the right size for two meals and she loves it. She is doing perfectly on this dog food.

    Great food

By Jack on Dec 6, 2020

My 12 year old Jack Russell is going through chemo treatment for primary lung cancer and this is the only food that keeps her stomach calm. She loves it and eats every bit of her food even though some of her taste has gone from the oral chemo and her appetite has decreased. Thank you Royal Canin for making such a palatable, tasty food for dogs with sensitive stomachs.

    Dog food Royal Canin loaf

By Hootie on Jan 5, 2021

My Chihuahua does not like the loaf...I bought 2 different kinds and they hate it...only like the morsels which for some reason have been temporarily out of stock for months. Don't know what I am going to do.

Great brand, but not for me

By tcruickshan on Dec 13, 2020

My dog wouldn’t go near this. I tried to make sure my dog was hungry. It did not work for me. Guess I will have to keep looking for something else.
