The Cat Boss Loves It!
Needed to make a change for our cat. He's active, but still weighs too much. So we tried this Royal Canin product since he enjoys their foods and has since he was a kitten. He loves it! We also have our two big dogs on Royal Canin and even the picky one likes it!!
Cat loves eating it
I feed our cat another brand of kibble that is more suitable for her however she doesn’t like it very much. She eats Royal Canin with great appetite so I mix this and other brand and she eats them very well. So I’m not sure if it works how it’s supposed to.
I have two cats, one of which was 14 lbs and the other 12 lbs. Both need to get down to 9-10 lbs to be their ideal weight. I purchased this food based on the reviews as many said it helped their cats stop begging for food and they seemed to stay fuller longer. I began this food in October, and both have already lost 1.5 pounds to date! My vet was very impressed at how well they are losing. I've noticed less begging and they are both more active and want to play more, which is rare for my (then) 14 pounder! I use this food for dinner, and they have wet food for breakfast so they get more water in their diets (I mix in water with their wet food and their supplements and vitamins). I can imagine how fast they'd be losing at this rate if I fed this twice a day, but I don't want them losing too quickly. Just keep that in mind for your kitty! I even had to transfer this food to a chew proof container, because they chewed a hole through the bag! Definitely recommend for those of you with stubborn weight loss cats.
NOT appetite control
Pro: It must taste good. Con: It doesn't work to control appetite. Aloha is a chubby kitty that we have been trying to help keep his weight down. Unfortunately as soon as the box with this food inside arrived, he immediately started trying to get in the box. And has almost destroyed the bag trying to get to the food (we've had to hide it in the closet). Following directions on the bag for amounts, which are comparable to other foods, he will eat it all quickly and is hungry 2 hours later. While he's driving us nuts, I feel more sorry for him because he must be terribly hungry all the time. This is not the first food we've tried for appetite suppression but definitely the worst, and it came recommended from our vet.
They love it!
It’s always a challenge buying cat food, not knowing if fussy boy will eat it, but this was a hit straight out of the bag! I got it to hopefully help with weight control. It’s too soon to comment on that, but the low calorie count per cup has got to help.
A Must At least try
It was pretty comical: My Cats have 3 bowls of 3 different foods and they always eat between the 3 . Not this time for whatever reason this is the only food they choose to eat. The other 2 bowls are left untouched.
cats are loving it
All my boys love this. There were no issues in the switchover. AND they DO seem to be eating less!!! So I am hopeful that this will assist my one cat who is ridiculously food oriented to eat less!!!
It seems to work
I have three cats. Two of which won't over eat and do maintain a healthy body weight even with food left out for them to eat whenever they want. One cat is a rescue and just ate and ate until she looked like a furry beach ball. All three have been eating twice a day which hasn't affected the older ones but the rescue wasn't loosing very much weight. I feed her this now and she gets full and is getting down to a healthy weight. She's getting her energy and playfulness back and just seems happier.
All 7 of our furkids love this food!
Some of our 7 furkids are a little hefty, we love them regardless of course, but wanted something healthier and something that could help them possibly boost their metabolism and shed a few pounds. As you can see from the photo… We bought this Royal canin, proplan, and their (what we thought) was their favorite on the far right… Needless to say the first night with their new food and they obviously LOVE the Royal Canin and ProPlan wayyyy more than their normal food. And our furkids are picky eaters so we made sure to buy a variety in case. And this is without transitioning-straight to the bowl-and they came running for it. Definitely will be buying this every month for sure!!! Royal Canin is amazing food-we feed it to our rescue kittens (not this kind obviously-mama cat baby cat) and you can tell it’s very good food for all cats. We love it!
Appetitie Control Dry Cat Food
Both my cats love this food. One really needs an appetite control food and the other does not. This is the second Royal Canin product I've tried in dry cat food, which has been a huge hit.
