There is definitely a problem with the new batch
My kitten has been eating this wet food since he was born so I have been repurchasing it. After giving him the new batch, he would not eat it at first. Then when he finally did, he began having soft stool. I stopped giving him this food and his stool immediately returned to normal. Also, another parent said the same thing so there is definitely a problem here. I am going to switch to another brand from now on since RC is not reliable. RC puts a lot of fillers and meat by-products in their foods when cats only need high-quality protein. However, they have good marketing and sponsor veterinary schools, which is why they are fairly popular. I would definitely suggest foods with only protein as their top ingredients. Thanks to Chewy's customer service, I was given a refund.
Maybe this case is spoiled?
I have always ordered the larger can for our two now 9 month old kittens. They love this food. This time I decided to order the 3 oz. size. Twice both of them turned away from it which is very uncommon as they normally would eat anything you put in front of them. Maybe this batch is spoiled? I don’t know but after a call to Chewy they issued a refund and said that I could donate the food to a shelter, which I replied that I would be most comfortable throwing it away incase it was spoiled. Chewy has always had great customer service.
Finally found It!!
After searching stores and their websites, Chewy had this food. This the only brand my cats have ever eaten. Have 4 cats: 2 9 month old kittens and 2 older cats: 1 y/o and a 3 y/o. They were all raised with Royal Canin, when I try a substitute they will not eat!! Thank you Chewy!!
The only thing my kitten will eat!
I probably tried 20 different canned foods and the fancy Smalls food and my kitten either would touch it or it would make him super sick puking and diarrhea. Finally I discovered this brand. He LOVES it. Song and dance every meal and no runny poops or puke! He gets a fun crazy burst of energy after he eats so I know he’s feeling good!
He doesn’t like it
Our kitten loves the Royal Canin thin nutrition slices in gravy, but he won’t eat this loaf style.
The kittens really liked it.
I am fostering two kittens four months old. They eat royal Canin kitten food at the shelter. At the shelter they use the 3 0z cans. I accidently ordered the 5 ounce pate cans. The cats really liked it and since they were eating 2 of the 3 ounce cans. I put 1/2 of the 5 ounce can in the fridge and heated it up in the evening
My kittens love this food and gobble it up. The veterinarian recommends this and is the only brand he sells in his clinic. Our local Humane Society feeds their baby kittens this in their ICU. I trust those kinds of recommendations.
my boys love it
I adopted two kittens and started them on this along with dry food. They get this am and pm and they let me know when it is time. They just go crazy for it and they have grown and have done well on this.
approved with love bites and licks
One of my picky 3-month old kittens loves this so much he gnarfed it all down then gave me alternating love bites and licks before falling asleep on my arms. I rotate this with a couple flavors of Blue Buffalo Wilderness kitten wet food. RC is a bit costly compare to most brands so definitely purchase a few cans from your local pet food store before investing in a 24 case of any size. I tested this and thin slices in gravy with my kittens and they love both. I rotate thin slices in my kittens' diet too, and hope that it comes back in stock on Chewy soon because it's such a treat for them.
not pate, not enjoyed
Trying to move my 5 month old kitten away from the kitten & mom pate food of the same brand. He really hates this stuff! I can mix some in with the old food, but if I get to a 50-50 blend or higher, he just won't eat it. And he eats pretty much anything I give him so this was quite surprising. Wish I could return it but assume I can't since it was mail ordered...
