    I have a 4 month old Great Pyrenees puppy - he was on another large breed puppy food that is at the same price point as Royal Canin, but his stools were consistently soft and sometimes runny. I switched him over to Royal Canin last week - I was mixing the dog foods to transition him, but he picked out I have a 4 month old Great Pyrenees puppy - he was on another large breed puppy food that is at the same price point as Royal Canin, but his stools were consistently soft and sometimes runny. I switched him over to Royal Canin last week - I was mixing the dog foods to transition him, but he picked out the Royal Canin and left the other food behind and within days his stools were normal- for the first time! I had used Royal Canin with my previous dog when he became very sick - it was the only food he would eat. Both experiences have been very positive with Royal Canin. … more

    Okay but not for my dog

    This food seemed fine. Use it for my puppy between 2-5 months old. He always had an itching problem with his skin that we couldn't fix with antihistamines, fish oil or shampoos so I decided to try a grain free food. I use RC for my cat and she loves it so I originally stuck with that brand. Moving to This food seemed fine. Use it for my puppy between 2-5 months old. He always had an itching problem with his skin that we couldn't fix with antihistamines, fish oil or shampoos so I decided to try a grain free food. I use RC for my cat and she loves it so I originally stuck with that brand. Moving to a grain free food, American journey, my dog immediately went crazy for it and acted as if it was a cookie/treat instead of kibble. When I mixed the old food and new food together he even tried to eat around/pick out the old food because he either didn't like it or liked the new one so much. I didn't notice before that he didn't like it, but it could've also been his limited experience to food (I don't give him a lot of people food either, only as a treat or if his stomach is upset). So, for the price and due to apathy for the food, I won't come back to this one but that's not to say there's anything wrong with it. … more
