    I am happy I went to this item from a referral by my neighbor, a vet tech. Once opening the bag, I was pleasantly surprised with the oils along the inside. That confirmed the richness of the food. I read many, many reviews and discussion on this brand. The fact they have a veterinarian dietician on staff I am happy I went to this item from a referral by my neighbor, a vet tech. Once opening the bag, I was pleasantly surprised with the oils along the inside. That confirmed the richness of the food. I read many, many reviews and discussion on this brand. The fact they have a veterinarian dietician on staff to develop their foods is what sold me. I compared several brands on a cost per pound eval and this is definitely higher than others, but price was not my criteria. I wanted the best food for my dogs that created the least amount of side effects to their health. This is the brand that has gotten that label. All my vets have recommended it and now I know why. … more

    Switching to something else

    After getting our Golden Retriever puppy, she had worms from the trip home (we got her out of state) and the vet put her on Royal Canin prescription for GI upset. He suggested we transition her to either RC large breed puppy or Golden Retriever formula. We tried large breed puppy and for the first month After getting our Golden Retriever puppy, she had worms from the trip home (we got her out of state) and the vet put her on Royal Canin prescription for GI upset. He suggested we transition her to either RC large breed puppy or Golden Retriever formula. We tried large breed puppy and for the first month she would eat it but wasn’t excited. Sometimes she would leave some left over. We added RC canned puppy food to see if it enticed her. We even mixed it with the kibble instead of just adding it on top and she would eat the kibble that had chunks of the wet food but the dry pieces she left behind. Now I think she’s just over it. We even had her tested for worms again and she’s fine, she just doesn’t like the food. We’re going to switch her because she isn’t gaining weight as fast as she should. Expensive for nothing and the ingredients aren’t even good. Look for something better … more
