Transition Instructions

Pets can be sensitive to sudden changes in their diets. For this reason, it is extremely important to follow a gradual transition plan to best support your pet's health and product effectiveness. It is recommended to follow at least a 7-day transition plan before exclusively feeding your pet a new food. Start by mixing 75% of your pet's current diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the current diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the current diet with 75% of the new diet. On Day 7, you can feed your pet the new food exclusively. Ask your Veterinarian about the best way to transition your pet to a new food.

    These ingredients are a joke.

By Steph on Jun 15, 2021

I recently adopted an English Mastiff puppy, and anyone who has owned a Large or Giant breed dog knows there are challenges with feeding them everything they need to develop and grow while guaranteeing life-long health. This wet food is trash. The first ingredient is WATER, the second is byproduct meal. Do yourself a favor and find ANYTHING else to buy.

    Great Choice

By Great on Mar 9, 2021

The pouch size is perfect for my 8 week old boxer, and he loves it. Quality product and ingredients that I have come to expect from Royal Canin. We feed dry kibble as well, that rounds out a great diet for the puppy.

Expensive and small portions but all she wants

By Alli on Oct 21, 2020

I have a 4 1/2 month old Rottweiler puppy who has been a very picky eater for the past 3 months. She has been fighting a bacterial issue for quite a while but is finally getting better. We started her on Eukanuba puppy large breed food.. she would only eat about 1/4 cup before getting sick of it and being over it. We tried mixing everything in it.. water, broth, ground chicken, peanut butter, eggs over a long period of time but she still never is very interested or excited to eat. We then switched her to Royal Canin GI vey food which she ate decently but still not excited. We moved to Royal Canin Rottweiler puppy dry food, we had been mixing eggs in her food to get her to eat it. Some days where she would eat most all portions but now 2 weeks later she is losing interest again. We do not give her table scraps or any human food unless it’s like chicken or eggs being mixed in her food bowl...... we got this wet food with the intentions of only mixing in a tablespoon or so into her dry food so it would be more appealing and healthy for her. She ate it one time and now won’t touch it. We gave her the wet food by itself because she needs to eat and she scarfed it down. Ate 3 bags for one meal. That being said having a Rottweiler puppy with large breed feeding guidelines..it’s a very unrealistic price. I wish this food was more affordable with better portions with it being labeled for large breed puppies. I also wish that there were more large breed specific wet puppy food because there really isn’t a huge selection in any brand. Not sure if I will keep buying in the long run because of how much it costs. … more

    Perfect Portion Size

By LadyLabrador on Sep 23, 2020

Best puppy wet food. She loves it and it’s the perfect portion size so you won’t accidentally over feed your puppy. She ate it so fast I couldn’t get a picture of her eating it, haha.

    Great food for my Bilbo

    By momOf3pups on Apr 21, 2020

I guess I did not see that these were pouches; I thought I was getting cans. When I opened one of the pouches (I give a whole pouch to my Bilbo) they were small chunks with a gravy like substance. My puppy loved it. I gave it to him with a cup of dry food, same brand. He loved it! Licked the bowl clean. I absolutely Royal Canin food. A good portion of Royal Canin are RX and you need an RX from your vet to buy these on line. I got introduced to this brand when my puppy was so sick w/ worms; we were not told he had worms when we rescued him. He had lost so much weight and was vomiting worms by the time we took him to the vet. He got dewormed, then placed on a preventative; all the while eating I guess I did not see that these were pouches; I thought I was getting cans. Too little food per package

    By anap64 on Jun 19, 2020

Our EM puppy loves it, but the pkg is too small. He eats 4 bags in one meal. If it’s for large breeds it should be a bigger serving.

    Opposing thumbs

By Jadeddame on Apr 7, 2020

Thank heavens my dog does not have opposing thumbs because she would be in the cupboard eating that food like there’s no tomorrow. She gets so excited when I get the pouch out and woofs it down as soon as it hits the bowl. It makes a good addition to her dry kibble. The price is worth it.
