We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

All of our dry diets are preserved naturally with mixed tocopherols, citric acid, and rosemary extract. Our canned diets are naturally preserved and sterilized during the cooking and canning process.

For supplemental feeding

My 2 Maine Coons love this food ... but given all the research about the health risks of feeding solely a dry diet, I limit them to only about 1/8 cup each daily (so it's truly a supplement to their wet diet). They often jump up to where the bag is kept and sit by it, giving me the "I want this food" look! A benefit of the bag is that if they've hidden in the house somewhere, I just have to pick up that bag and shake the food and they come racing wanting to eat it. But that's how I feel about chocolates - doesn't mean I should eat the whole bag!

My cats (not even a Maine Coon) love this food. They hear me opening the bag and they come running. I keep a bowl full for them at all times and I can hear them crunching it during the night.

My two Maine Coons love this food. Because it costs more, we use it instead of buying cat treats. My husband gives it to them for that purpose and they thoroughly enjoy it. Every cat is different, so I can only speak for mine. They like the larger size if the kibble, but they are good size cats. One is 18 lbs. and one is 23lbs.

My Maine Coon really doesn't like kibble. She actually prefers to eat the dogs RAW. But I bought this to keep out for in between meals and she LOVES it!! Can't get enough of it. Thanks

My mix breed cat (significantly Maine Coon) has so many allergies so it’s hard to find a food he can safely eat! But this, and daily Cosequin have helped him so much! He is 8 years old. Fat, but playful. And oh my gosh his coat is so shiny and soft!

Royal Canin is a good product line; have used it since our cat was a kitten. That said, he does not like this food at all. Maybe he is rejecting the large size...I am not sure. I have to order some other dry food, as he is destroying things in protest (bye bye lamp).

My cat, a Maine Coon called Thomas hates the food. He doesn't like the lg.pieces. He's 8 yrs.old & has been on Prescription OS for along time. The food has small pieces & he will eat them.Waste of money if cat has been eating sm.piece food.
