We recommend at least a 7-day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively.
Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2.
On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet.
On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet.
On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

Perfect for dogs with sensitive stomachs
By GreatDigestiveFood on Jan 10, 2021
Our mini bernadoodle has a very sensitive stomach and could not tolerate switches to other foods. The Royal Canin digestive care has been PERFECT for her, she loves it too!

Classy company
By Laylee on Sep 30, 2020
We were on an autoship with Chewy for Royal Canin. I had to call recently to tell them that our sweet dog had passed away. They were so sweet and said how sorry they were for our loss. Today we had a flower delivery, it was a dozen beautiful assorted roses. It was from Chewy with a sweet note about how sorry they were for the loss of our pet. Classy company. Thank you so much for going above and beyond.

Sensitive stomachs
By ZooMom on Aug 4, 2020
Our German Shepard developed pneumonia after a bout of Kennel Cough at the daycare. She wound up in the hospital, on IV antibiotics, not eating, barely drinking. After 5 days, she finally was well enough to come home and finish her antibiotic treatments at home for two more weeks. The antibiotics wiped out a lot of the good bacteria in her gut, and it became extremely irritated resulting her developing intolerance to her normal foods. She already had some sensitivities, but this was so much worse. Finally with probiotics, stool firming additives, and a prescription food from the veterinarian, she started having normal bowel movements, a good appetite, and back to herself. The vet had put her on one of the Royal Canine prescription formulas, which is very expensive. But I was terrified of trying anything else. She had reacted to her prior food as soon as I began to mix it in with the vet diet. So I finally tried the non prescription diet for digestive care from Royal Canine. I had to blend and switch over slowly, but she did wonderfully on the non prescription diet to the point I was able to switch all the way over. We almost lost our girl to pneumonia and then dehydration and malnutrition. Thanks to Royal Canine we have our girl happy and healthy and in need of actually having to lose a few pounds now. … more

3 yo Boxer finally eating all her food and peppy
By Bella on Jul 27, 2020
Our boxer was never a foodie, tried multiple foods through the years. It was a struggle to give her medication daily. She would eat half her food and leave it, always heard stomach rumbling. Since she started this digestive food now on week 3, she eats ALL her food, she is peppier, no stomach rumbles, no eating grass, we just toss her pills in her food and she takes them instead of picking them out. She is putting on weight, the only complaint is we did not know about the digestive care food prior. She was eating the RC Boxer food prior.

finally something that works
By bella on Aug 4, 2020
My dog has struggled off and on for years with loose stools and colitis. I slowly transitioned her to this food from the prescription canned gastrointestinal food over the course of a month and a half. She is a sensitive girl so it required a long transition. She is now eating this exclusively and doing so well. She loves the taste and finally she has normal bowel movements. She also seems to have so much more energy. Chewy usually has this to my door in 24 hours from ordering which is wonderful. Highly recommend both this food and Chewy!

Great Product
By Haley on Sep 13, 2020
My dog had been having digestive problems for months. We had tried switching his food before with no improvement. After consulting our vet, she recommended Royal Canin and now after a few weeks things seem to have cleared right up! Would definitely recommend!

would recommend
By Teddy on May 10, 2020
Our dog has a very sensitive stomach and is a picky eater. We’ve tried lots of different foods and brands. We even tried prescription food for awhile. We’ve had him on this food for about 2 months now. So far, this seems to be helping him. His feces are a lot closer to regular or what normal should be. Plus, he seems to like it and not stick his nose up and walk away. We’d recommend this food if you’re looking for something that will help your picky, sensitive pet.

Dogs Seem to Prefer
By Baamaid on Apr 17, 2020
I bought this for a little rescue pup, that I swear had IBS- In just a week, his poop was better, his tummy less rumbly, & *everybody* loved the taste. When I first introduced the Royal Canin, I mixed it with their old kibble. The dogs would take a mouthful, drop it on the floor, and just eat the Royal Canin, leaving the old, smaller kibble on the floor. Smart, huh?

Great food
By JenS on May 6, 2020 Top 1000 Contributor
My cattle dogs really pig out on this food. I cant free feed them anymore. They attack it before I can get the scoop out! I've fed Royal Canin before to my great dane. He did incredible on this food. I would heartily recommend this brand.
