    Working well for weight control

By KATT on Jun 10, 2019

I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, who is on the petite side. I train and show her in AKC obedience trials, which involves a lot of running and jumping at times, so I try to keep her at a healthy weight for joint health. Corgis are "air ferns" and when she hit 4 years old and I was busy raising a new puppy I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, who is on the petite side. I train and show her in AKC obedience trials, which involves a lot of running and jumping at times, so I try to keep her at a healthy weight for joint health. Corgis are "air ferns" and when she hit 4 years old and I was busy raising a new puppy and not doing as much with her, she started to gain weight. When she is fit and lean, she is about 22lbs... but she had crept up to 25lbs. Part of the problem was that the boutique food she was eating was over 500cals per cup - I was only feeding her 2/3 cup a day and she was still getting fat! Because my other pets had done really well on Royal Canin, I decided to try their weight care formula because it is low calorie, while still being high protein and high fiber. She loves her "Cheerios" and she especially loves that she can now eat more food at each meal, but still lose weight. Her coat looks good, her stools are firm, small and regular, and her teeth aren't building up tartar as quickly as before (I brush regularly). She also hasn't had any anal gland issues since switching. Very happy so far! She is gradually losing weight and I don't have to starve her to do it. … more

    Both dogs won't eat it

By Kassiebree on May 29, 2019

One of my dogs nibbled on this kibble, but both basically ignored it. I tried a new bowl, different spot in the house, etc..lol..but nope! Both ladies will not eat it. It's a shame because it's a great size for small dogs and one of my girls needs to lose some weight.
